A private villa set within it's own grounds with a fantastic swimming pool. Situated only a few minutes drive from Las Fuentas and Alcossebre. Offering numerous sandy beaches, and a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants. Las Fuentas also has an extremely scenic port where the nightlife starts and finishes. Located one hour north of Valencia, two hours south of Barcelona and one hour south of Reus (Salou), a car is essential to discover all the beaches and inland villages and towns. The towns of Alcossebre and Las Fuentes merged some years ago to create a picturesque holiday centre on the Costa del Azahar, the 'Orange Blossom Coast'. Situated in the Castellon region, an hours drive north of Valencia and about the same distance south of Tarragona, the twin towns are bordered on one side by the sea and on the other by mountains. Las Fuentes is on the edge of the Sierra de Irta national park, which contains within its wild and mountainous borders several significant historical ruins. There are challenging walks within the park. There are several large and well kept beaches in the town and surrounding areas. In town are plenty of bars and restaurants and even a couple of nightclubs. Further afield are Peniscola and its castle (used in the film 'Ben Hur'), the Ebro Delta with river trips and wildlife and Tarragona’s Roman remains. For further information please contact us.

Notes: The private villa is situated on 4 levels accessible through the garage to the ground floor and is also accessible via steps up the side of the house, which take you directly to the first floor. There are large balconies on each floor which all show spectacular views of the area. The largest balcony overlooks the garden and swimming pool and view to the sea. Large Balcony: This area will be the 'hub' of your stay. It will be used for eating, drinking, reading and stargazing. This balcony leads directly to the spacious lounge, which in turn leads to open plan dinning room where there are TV & video, Radio & Cassette & CD Player, there is satellite TV. Two magnificent golf courses are within easy driving distance. The Panoramica Golf & Country Club, designed by Bernha rd Langer, is a 700-yard, par 18 hole course only 40 minutes away to the north. For the active members of your party there are a table tennis table, darts board and a full size pool table in the games room.

There are 6 sun loungers around the pool with umbrellas. Lots of dining choices are offered from formal inside dining for ten, a breakfast table with 10 chairs in the breakfast room adjacent to the kitchen and 2 large tables on the terrace, which will easily seat 12, this is an ideal spot for your evening gin and tonics. There are chairs on the two upstairs balconies and a wicker couch and chairs on the covered terrace downstairs. Entry to the villa and its grounds is through large double gates. Inside there is parking for several cars. The rooms are large, the grounds are extensive and there are several balconies and terraces where you can have some private time or join the group and socialise. A washing machine and tumble drier will take care of your laundry. Cook at home in the well equipped kitchen or take advantage of the many great restaurants in town. Follow the road outside the villa up into the mountains to find El Pinar restaurant with spectacular views of the coast.

Getting there at the moment, there are 3 airports within easy reach of the villa. Barcelona is about 2 1/4 hours drive away, Reus, near Tarragona is about 1 1/4 hours drive and Valencia also about 1 1/4 hours. All the journeys are easy motorway trips. Alternatively you can drive through France (about 17 hours from Calais), take the ferry to Bilbao or Santander and drive (about 6 hours) or take your car on the French Motorail train from Calais to Narbonne and drive (about 5 hours). A maid service is available to change bed linen each week. Maid service can be arranged for you during your stay if required but at additional cost. Bath and pool towels are provided. The property is suitable for elderly people, but may not be suitable for the infirm or disabled due to the steps and stairs leading to the bedrooms.

Greatlocation - tired and dirty villa

The location of the villa and views were absolutely fantastic. The terraces were wonderful for sitting and eating out on. However, when we arrived the floors, kitchen and bathrooms of the villa were filthy. The managing agents came and washed the floors but were not authroised by the owner to clean the disgusting bathrooms and kitchen untis. I had to put on my marigold gloves and clean on my holiday! In addition the bathrooms desperately need refurbishment. Of the three showers, only one was usable - for a 10 person villa! The upstairs shower had a broken umberella shower curtain that could not be used. The middle bathroom had no shower curtain and the downstairs shower had very low water pressure. The living room fan blew on the third day of our stay and was not repaired or replaced. The floor tiles in the play area came loose and had to be removed during our first week. We regularly stay at villas and have stayed in Alcossebre before and never had such poor customer service. I emailed the owner during our stay to see if the issues could be rectified but did not receive a reply. Such a shame as this could be a fantastic villa if some money was invested.
