Villa on the Costa Azahar, Valencia. This spacious, well appointed semi detached villa is located on small well maintained urbanization, 10 mins walk to the town & beaches. It enjoys spectacular views of the coastline, is bordered by the Serra d' Irta National Park on three sides. The extensive private gardens are well maintained with two communal swimming pools. The house is decorated and furnished to a high standard. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, (one ensuite) spacious lounge/ dining room, fitted kitchen with ceramic hob & oven, fridge/freezer etc. A separate utility room contains sink, water heater, washing machine & tumble dryer. The dining room seats six, while the lounge area also seats six. There is a stereo system, satellite TV,DVD player and video player. There are two terraces with table, chairs and loungers. The town has ample shopping facilities. There are 5 Blue flag sandy beaches, from small coves to long strands, each of them has it's own unique feel.

Alcossebre and its adjacent twin, Las Fuentas, provide the ideal holiday centre. They are the jewel in the crown of the Costa Azahar. They are in the Castellon region, 1 hours drive north of Valencia, and some 2&1/2 hours drive south of Barcellona. The town is in the heart of the orange & fruit growing region, which is bordered on one side by the mountains of the Serra d' Irta, and the sea on the other. There are several Blue flag beaches in Alcossebre and the surrounding area, all of which are well kept. There are in excess of 45 restaurants & bars in the area, which provide food & drink to suite every palette. Within easy drive are the historic towns of Morella, Villafames and Peniscola, which provided the setting for the Hollywood film, El Cid. There is a very good Water Park at Benicasim, with Go -Carting at Oropesa. Those that enjoy wildlife the Ebro Delta is less than an hours drive north, where you can take both river & sea trips for fishing, or enjoy the walks or the beach.

Notes: The terraces form a 'wrap-around' to two sides of house, which are ideal for 'alfresco' dining, sunbathing or simply enjoying a quite read. The grounds to the urbanization are maintained to the highest standard with an abundance of flowers beds, pine & other trees all of which surround the lawns to the complex. Getting to the villa and resort is easy. At the moment it is served by three airports, Valencia, which is about 1 1/4 hours drive, as is Reus, with Barcelona about 2 1/2 hours drive away. The journeys to all these is via the AP7 auto route which is 5 miles, to junction 44, from the villa. For those who wish to travel by sea, the ferry from Bilbao is about 5 hours with Santander about 6 to 6 1/2 hours drive away. While those who wish to drive down through France, you should allow 17/18 hours, which from our experience is best done over two days, at least. Maid service is available to change the bed linen & towels each week. The property is suitable for elderly people.

Golf: There are two Championship class Golf course's within 45 min's drive of the villa, as well as a 9 hole course which is 30 mins's drive away. The first course is 'Panoramica' which was designed by Berhnard Langer, this is close to Vinaros, which is north of Alcossebre, take the N340 to Vinaros then follow the N232, from where it is signposted. The second, Mediterranio is south of Alcossebre, take the motorway, A7 to Castellon North, junct 46, from where it is 10mins drive. This is the older of the two courses, and to my mind the prettier of the two. This is also Sergio Garcias home course. The 9 hole course, also to the north of Castellon, is near the port area, it is a 'Parkland' course, which is fairly flat but very tight. Full directions to all the courses are in the villa, along with course plans etc. For those who are interested, there is a Golf Society in Alcossebre, it is run from 'Cheers' bar, they play both the course's regularly, and are happy to take 'guests' players.

A peaceful and relaxing stay in Alcossebre

We have been in Alcossebre several times and we use to stay in the Marina.This time however we travelled during the peak season and we were looking for a more quiet, peaceful and luxurious accomodation.
As we arrived we were not disapointed. Las Haciendas 105 is even better as the pictures. The house and the garden is maintained to a very high standard not to mention the seaviews that are absolutely wonderful.
We staid for two weeks. We were 2 adults and 4 teenagers, so we enjoyed the 2 bathrooms and the 3 bedrooms.
The house is comfortable and relaxing and has everything you need for a great holiday. Among our stays in Alcossebre this house was the one decorated with most charm and personality. You can easily walk (approx. 1 kilometer) to the beaches, the town, the Marina and all the restaurants. My husband spend a couple of days traveling along the marked hiking trails in National Park Sierra del Irta surrounding the house.
We were happy with the laid back atmosphere in Las Haciendas compared to the more noisy and stressfull Marina and so were our teenagers.
Alcossebre it is a very lovely and unspoiled little town without huge hotels and lots of foreign tourists. Most of the tourists are spanish people and it is very relaxing and peacefull to be here.The beaches are wonderfull (we recommend Playa del Carragador) and we were surprised that they were not that crowded despite our travelling during peak seasson.
As regards restaurants we recommend Babou Bar in the Marina and El Patio Pizzaria Downtown Alcossebre - both restaurants have tastefull menues and reasonable prices.
We were absolutely delighted about our stay in Las Haciendas 105 and we hope to come back. The owners Carol and John are very sweet and helpfull. Everything regarding payment, information about the area and the house, driving instructions etc. worked absolutely smoothless.
