Leisure Activities:
Most local beaches offer water sports including water skiing, surfing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing and diving. Horse riding stables can be located next to Oliva Nova Golf Course and there is a go-kart track nearby. Within - 30 - 45 mins drive you can visit Vergel Safari Park, Mundomar Sea World, Terra Mittica Theme Park or Aqualandia Water Park. Alternatively you could visit Ibiza or the Balearics on a trip from Denia port, a 25 minute drive away. There are other boat trips to be enjoyed, which travel up and down the coast and to nearby islands. Not to be missed is the City of Arts & Science in Valencia which is fast becoming one of Spain's top tourist attractions. Within the city it has the largest marine park in Europe, a vast science museum, oceanarium & planetarium. All this is housed within a space age cultural complex - a futuristic 'city within a city'.
Golfing:
For golfing enthusiasts there are many excellent golf courses in the area. In Valencia located on a narrow stretch of dunes and dense pinewoods separating the Albufera Lagoon from the Mediterranean Sea is the El Saler Golf Course, ranked among the Top 10 in Europe and Top 100 in the world. The adjacent Albufera Lagoon is a vast expense of brackish waters and rice paddies, which is also a natural reserve full of birds and wild life. Other courses in and around Valencia of note include, Club de Golf Manises, Club de Golf El bosque & Club de Golf Escorpion. The prestigious Oliva Nova Golf Course is within a 20 minute drive from the villa. This course was designed by Seve Ballesteros, is reasonably priced and boasts an excellent clubhouse with restaurant. Nearby La Sella (Denia) & Javea golf courses offer excellent driving ranges and facilities.
