The villa is located just outside the town of Oliva in Communidad Valencia, about 1 hour south of Valencia Airport, and about 1hour north of Alicante. It is situated in an attractive location in the hills outside the town of Oliva, with views to the Mediterranean, and inland to the mountains. Oliva town comprises three distinct areas - the old town of steep, narrow streets on the side of the hill that is topped by the ruined castle, the new part which includes the tree-lined Paseo, and a low-rise beach area, which is separated from the main town by orange groves. Oliva is one of many blue flag beaches in the area. There is a good selection of restaurants in town and good restaurants for kids on the beach. There are supermarkets in Oliva and various hypermarkets in Gandia, about 10km away. There are watersports, a golf course and safari park nearby, and a kids theme park an hour to the south. The rejuvenated historic city of Valencia is an hour to the north.

this is a great property - stayed there for two weeks in August 2008.
Greeted in the town and shown directly to the villa - pool is great and so is the villa.
You will need a car to get from the town to the Villa, but it is worth it for the piece and quite.
Highly recommend - and will be looking to go back there next year if possible

A wonderful villa

Our meeting & arrival at the villa was really smooth - exactly as Angela stated in our e-mails.
When we arrived, we were shown where everything was & how it worked (where necessary).
The villa was clean, tidy & well layed-out. The living area was spacious & the outdoor area including the pool was great.
We felt our children (aged 3, 5, 6 & 8) were in a very safe environment (with the obvious requirement for supervision around the pool).
It was really nice in the conservatory, looking out over Oliva Platja as the street lights started coming on, sipping a glass of Rioja.
The white sandy beach near the harbour was nice & clean, with a play area (climbing spidery-type thing) & ball sports courts / pitches.
Overall, we would recommend it to our friends (pr indeed anyone).

My family had an excellent week here in May 08. Its exactly as it was described and we were given very good service. We arrived on a Bank Holiday but we were escorted directly to the house and shown everything. The fridge and larder were stocked by arrangement with enough basic foodstuffs to keep us going until the shops reopened. Its lovely and peaceful but a 10min drive from the town up a steep hill. The town is a quite, authentic Spanish one and the beach is family friendly with restaurants overlooking it. It was a good location for seeing the area but you would have to have a car.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children
