This spacious, bright, two bedroom apartment is situated in central Barcelona, close to Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas. It is an ideal situation (for short or long stays) to see all the wonderful attractions that Barcelona has to offer. The apartment is located in a splendid Modernist building on c/ Muntaner in L’Eixample district. The building includes marble entrance hall, elevator and roof terrace. It is beside Passeig de Gracia which is the main designer shopping street in the city. Restaurants, shops, boulangerie, supermarket and cafes are available right outside your door. This 1st floor apartment retains all the original period features including high-corniced ceilings, wooden floor and traditional shuttered windows. Yet it is also fitted out with modern furniture, international TV, radio, CD, DVD (incl. DVD collection), jacuzzi, washing machine, dishwasher etc.

Notes: This bright apartment has a hall, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, lounge and bathroom. The lounge has south-facing bay windows overlooking the Muntaner/Consell de Cent Square. It includes a sofa bed, air-conditioning, seating/dining (extendable table) for 6 people. Facilities include: air conditioning, satellite TV, CD/tape/radio and DVD player with free use of our DVD collection ( with over 50 movie & TV titles to choose from). One bedroom, facing front, has two single beds and wardrobe. The second bedroom, facing internal courtyard, has a double bed and wardrobe. The kitchen comprises fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The bathroom has jacuzzi bath, shower, wc, whb and bidet.

The Eixample area is the main shopping district in Barcelona centring around the boulevards of Passig de Gracia and Rambla be Catalunya, which lead onto Placa de Catalunya. This area features all the best restaurants, cafes, museums, galleries and shops. Because it is located at the lower end of c/ Muntaner it is almost the perfect location for visiting Barcelona. It is right in the middle of the upmarket shopping and restaurant area yet still very close to the heart of La Ramblas and Gothic Quarter with its narrow streets, great atmosphere and exuberant nightlife. It has parking nearby and the local metro station at Passeig de Gracia is a central hub station for the entire city. There are a number of excellent city beaches available and, of course, the Costa Brava beaches such as Sitges (30 mins) are located all along the coast.

Location was great, just ten minutes walk away from La Rambla.The apartment itself was dated and in need of upgrading .It was large enough for a family of five to stay in.I would not recommend this apartment due to its worn state.

The apartment fulfilled all our expectations, it was accessible, comfortable and clean.

It is not far away from the main tourist areas as the Placa Catalunya and La Rambla, just a few mintues walk. It is also a walking distance to the railway station. We appreciated the nearby grocery store, cafes and nice restaurants with delicious tapas.

I will certainly recommend this property to my friends, and look forward to returning sometime in the future.

The apartment was everything the website promised. It was quite spacious by European standards, clean, comfortable, and accessible. I really appreciated the elevator, even though the apartment was on the second floor. I liked the added touch of dvds for those 'down' moments and the wide selection available. The building is quiet, and I felt it was a safe environment - whatever time I came in.

The apartment is well situated in terms of getting a taxi, walking distance to the main tourist areas, shopping, convenience stores, cafes, and pastry shops - yum!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - special thanks to the housekeeper for allowing us to drop off our bags as we arrived a bit early - neither of us could understand the other, but it worked out. And thanks to Shane for answering all my questions - THANK YOU.

I will certainly recommend this property to my friends, and look forward to returning sometime in the near future.

Wir bewohnten das Apartment zu fünft (drei Erwachsene, zwei Jugendliche). Die Lage war ausgezeichnet: die nächste U-Bahnstation Universitat ist in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen, zu den Ramblas ist es nur ein kleiner Fußmarsch. Auch ein gut sortierter Supermarkt ist gleich ums Eck. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Wirklich empfehlenswert!
