Our accomodation offers not only the peace and tranquility of a friendly villagey atmosphere, but also easy and direct access to the life and charms of Barcelona, also within easy reach of the international airport. Walks, of all types are available, along with mountain biking, horse riding, tennis and golf, and swimming. Muesums, Gaudi buildings and the Ramblas are all on the direct tube line. The apartment is part of a landmark 1927 villa which has been fully restored into a bright and comfortable home. It has been decorated to high standards, creating a light, and spacious atmosphere, with its own private terrace, (or patio) and street entrance, with street parking.

This one and a half bedroom apartment sleep maximum three people It has a double bed has a small extra bedroom with one junior bed and a large lounge with a spacious terrace planted with jasmine. It features a restful cream and red colour scheme, with a dark wood kitchen fully equipped with 4 burners, oven and microwave. There is a TV, barbeque, outside table and chairs...the flat was renovated just a couple of years ago and BBC TV is now installed.

Notes to the rental rates

• In order to make a reservation guests are required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total rent, usually by Western Union, in euros prior to arrival.
  
• There is a fixed rate of 540 Euros per week including some maid service and all linen.
  There is a fixed rate of 90 Euros per day out side of week long periods.
  We do not accept more than 3 people
  
• The balance of the payment is to be paid in euros upon arrival.

Around the Apartment.

The apartment is a few yards/metres away from the metro station that takes you straight to Las Ramblas, in the centre of Barcelona, which is the main promenade that goes from Plaza Catalunya to the harbour. There is a big supermarket in the basement of Corte Ingles of Plaza Catalunya. There is also a food market that you shouldn't miss: Mercat de la Boqueria, on Las Ramblas. In La Floresta itself there are two good local restaurants including one charming open air rotisserie and a large area of virtually unspoilt countryside, Collserolla National Park, dotted with fine examples of Modernista architecture. La Floresta is a garden suburb located on a quiet, pine-covered hillside. It was once called 'La Floresta Pearson', after the Canadian engineer who brought mains electricity to Barcelona in 1911, and planned the village. In the 1970s it was Barcelona's hippy haven - legendary 'Fat Freddy's Cat' cartoonist Gilbert Shelton even lived here for a while. La Floresta is a great place

About the Collserola National Park

The slopes of the Mt. Collserola near Barcelona, incorporate an area of 48.32 square kilometres (slightly less than 30 square miles). It is 124 meters (400 feet) above sea level with a population of 54,623. The municipality includes not only the urban centre of Sant Cugat but also the districts of Mira-sol, La Floresta and Las Planes and the district of Valldoreix. Much of it is part of the Collserola National Park, the closest to Barcelona, the capital city of Catalunya, a state within Spain, where Catalan is the first language and Spanish the second. The presence of human culture in this area is ancient. Human remains from the Neolithic Period (2000-1500 BC) have been discovered in archaeological findings from the Cave of Torre Negra; and from the Bronze Age (after 1100 BC) in archaeological excavations of Can Fatjo of Aurons. The presence of Iberian culture is evidenced by diverse human remains found in this area that date to the VI century BC and the year 218 BC.
