This charming apartment is located in the barrio of Poble Nou, moments away from the sandy Barcelona beaches yet close to the city centre. Metro Poble Nou is direct to Jaume I on the yellow line where the El borne area sits, full of boutiques, bars, tapas restaurants and all the sights. Poble Nou however has its own village feel and a the beautiful Rambla de Poble Nou is perfect for lunch or dinner and safer and cheaper than the city centre Rambla. The apartment has one double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a second bedroom with bunk beds. There is a good sized bathroom with a bath/shower. There is a sunny lounge equipped with TV, stereo and air conditioning. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, iron, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The apartment is nicely furnished with glass sliding doors and wooden floors. All towels and bed linen are included. The apartment is on the first floor and has a lift.

The beach is approx 7 mins walk away, with beach bars and restaurant. The lively area of the Olympic village is only a few minutes further down the beach front promenade. The city centre can be reached by metro in approx 10 minutes and is situated close by. The apartment is within the area of Poble Nou which mixes both old Spanish charm and new developments. It has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Two shopping centres are within easy reach Glories and the new trendy Diagonal del Mar with lots of shops, cinemas and bowling allies.

    30% balance is paid in cash on arrival in euros along with the meet and greet fee which is 50 euros, this includes the cleaning, check in and a Q and A session about the apartment and the local area.
    Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am.
    The meeter and greeter will meet you at the apartment and show you around and answer any questions. He speaks English and Spanish and knows the local area well.
  • The price of 70 euros per night is based on 1-2 sharing
    For 3-4 persons the price is 90 euros per night.
  • Check in is 4pm but it may be possible to check in earlier.

Activities: The promenade that runs along the beach is perfect for running, roller blading or for those simply wanting a gentle stroll in a lovely location. There is also a small skate park with ramps. There are a few children's playgrounds within walking distance with swing and slides. On the beach by the Olympic Village there are a couple of table tennis tables. Close by there is also a cinema that shows films in their original language.

1st time in Barcelona

This apartment was ideal for a sightseeing stay and beach holiday in Barcelona. Although is is not in the centre it is a short metro time downtown to the el borne, which is truly beautiful yet walkable to the beach, the beach was actually very clean and sandy too and we spent most early evenings there. We were met and greeted by the charming George who showed us around the apartment and gave us tons of information and advice about our stay.
An ideal location as it is quiet yet there is a lot to see and do in this area also, dinner on the beach, lunches at Rambla Poble nou and breakfast at home! The tourist bus passes by too this is a great way to see Barcelona without aching feet. Ideal, and a good price, clean, comfortable and recommended to anyone.

wonderful and cute apartment, much better than a hotel for 2 as we had space, tv, music, air con and the beach down the road. Really liked the area and we took the tourist bus to see the sights. We went into town of an evening, easy on the metro at Poble Nou direct to Jamue I and to the old city. Very romantic! We had lovely dinners on terraces both in Poble Nou and in El borne and walked and walked. Thanks to Claire for dealing with the booking so efficiently and off course to George, full of info! Thanks again.

4 go mad in Barcelona

Loved, it, loved it, We had a great time in this apartment in Poblenou As told to us by our fantastic check in guy, George - Poblenou means "new village" in Catalan and parts of it our new, like our modern well equipped apartment. Bunk beds were fun and big enough for 2 adults, the kitchen had everything we needed and the air con in the lounge was great as it was warm the 2nd week of May. The area had plenty for us to do, lots of great bars, restaurants, and walking distance to the beach which at night turned into a great hang out place for cocktails at Shoko or Opium, on lovely big cushions watching the sun go down . Check out Ramble de Poble Nou, far, far nicer than the Ramblas in the centre and much cheaper for menu del dias and coffees. Thanks for easy booking Claire, George you were a star!

Beach Bliss

For the price this apartment is great value, you can sleep 4 although the bunk bed room is small but just to sleep in, it is fine. The master bedroom is very sunny and light and the kitchen has all mod cons. The lounge too is big enough for 4 and there is a separate dining area that was handy to eat the occasional dinner. We ate out a lot! Rambla de Poble nou which is 5 mins walk is full of tapas bars, restaurants with out door terraces to sit on. Food shopping was done at the massive Diagonal mar shopping centre which has every shop you could ever want, including mango, Zara and a hypermarket. Taxi home cost 5 euros! And off course we were right on the beach, the weather in early May was perfect for lazing around all day in the spring sun. Thanks to Clarie and George, booking was easy and the meet and greet invaluable, George showed us everything! We drove from France and we parked outside! thanks to George who held the spot for us! Thanks again.
