The Modernis is a great 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor of a typical 'Eixmple' building in what is also known as the 'golden triangle'. The location is wonderful & the apartment has been stylishly decorated to maximise its full potential. The guests will feel welcome & comfortable from the moment they walk in, with beautifully styled ceilings 4 meters high, & the lovely hard wood floors throughout give a great feeling of warmth. The 2 bedrooms are very accommodating; the main bedroom comes with a double bed and ample wardrobe space for the guests belongings; this large bedroom also has an extra sofa for relaxing & a lovely balcony from which the guest can watch the comings & goings of the locals and other visitors below; there is also a desk/table in this bedroom so the guest can be comfortable when accessing his emails via the internet access provided in this apartment, the smaller of the bedrooms come with 2 single beds & also wardrobe space.

    Long rentals discounts: 1 weeks 10%, 2 weeks, 15% ; 4 weeks, 20%.
    A 20% is required to book the apartment. A final cleaning fee of 40€ will apply and a refundable deposit of 150€ against damages fully returnable on departure will be paid on arrival.
    Take benefit of a 20% discount for March 2007.

Lovely Barcelona Apartment

We just returned from 4 days at this apartment in Barcelona. It's a wonderful location in a neighborhood, and so close to everthing, literally walking distance. Several local coffee shops for morning breakfast. The apartment was a good size for 3 of us, very clean and comfortable. The pictures are exactly what you get; it is an appealing decor. The only downside is that the street below can be a bit noisy in the morning, other than that it was great. I suggest you pull the exterior shutters at night. It was a pleasant stay and I would certainly recommend it to others, as we were very satisfied there. The owner had good customer service and making arrangements was quite simple.

Great location and stylish apartment

Overall very happy with the apartment, exactly as described although it faces onto a main street so can get a bit noisy unless you have both sets of shutters closed which can in turn cause the bedroom to get a little stuffy. Fantastic location with a supermarket just across the road and short walk to Las Ramblas and other sights. The owner was very helpful and accomodating.

Well located and very comfortable apartment.

My friend and I stayed at this property in April 2009. We arrived fairly early in the morning and were delighted that Zarina allowed us access to the property which was still being cleaned. At the end of our holiday, Zarina also allowed us to stay at the apartment until our flight was due in the evening. Whilst I appreciate that this would not always be possible, we were very grateful for Zarina's kindness and consideration. All of our dealings with her were extremely positive from initial contacts onwards.
The apartment itself lived up to expectations. It was clean, well decorated and well furnished and was on the first floor of a building with a lift. On the ground floor is a carpark and the apartment's only drawback is that a buzzer can be heard from the carpark from early in the morning (but not through the night). At first it seems that the apartment's door is being rung but you eventually realise it is from below. The flat is well positioned and has two little balconies overlooking the street. There are a number of small cafes very close by as well as supermarkets and the nearest metro is within a five minute walk. Pl Catalunya and the Ramblas are also within easy walking distance. The immediate environs are quiet and safe.
It certainly felt as though we were in an ideal place for all of Barcelona's fantastic attractions whilst being in a secure and peaceful spot ourselves. This is a property with many advantages; it is genuinely nice and comfortable and has all you could wish for with the advantage of very helpful owners.I would thoroughly recommend it with the single reservation of the buzzer from below!

Wonderful Apartment

Our family, including 3 teenagers, was so pleased with this pretty apartment. It was clean, well-maintained, and the beds (including the roll out sofa) were comfortable. Its central location, near Pl Cataluna and the Metro, was excellent for all of our explorations of Barcelona--sites in La Ribera, the Bari Gotic and The Eixample were within walking distance. Even a grocery market was just across the street. Yet it was also quiet for sleeping. The owner's agent, Zarina, was very helpful to us throughout the rental process and after our arrival in Barcelona, and most accommodating of our needs as travelers. I would not hesitate to rent this property.

Our stay at this apartment was most enjoyable. Fab location, 5mins walk from Plaza Catalunya and 10 mins from Las Rambas.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to all. Also the bakery is lovely across the road for breakfast.
