This stylishly refurbished 4th floor waterfront apartment, set in the heart of L'Ampolla; overlooks the harbour, and is just minutes from lovely, clean beaches. The bright accommodation has everything you might need to enjoy your stay. The lounge/diner features picture windows with glorious views of the sea and glass door out to the balcony. The fitted master bedroom also overlooks the sea, so you can enjoy your morning coffee watching the sun rise from the luxury of your bed. An ample twin bedroom has a pull out third bed when needed. For your comfort, there are ceiling fans, thermal blinds and fly screens throughout. For your entertainment: Sky TV, DVD and CD players, ipod speakers, books, games, beach equipment and a picnic set. The kitchen is well equipped and user friendly if you choose to eat in, but there are many excellent local restaurants. The bathroom, in Spanish style has a shower over a half bath. We welcome you with a bottle of excellent local wine.

The marina and fishing village of L'Ampolla with its small family run shops and restaurants, truly enjoys the best if both worlds, with its own mainline train station and just minutes from the coastal A7 motorway, yet it still maintains its stylish village charm, wonderful safe beaches, secret coves, shoreline nature walks, amazing fishing, bird watching and clear blue warm waters of the Mediterranean. Notes: There is a long narrow balcony which leads off the open plan living area which has space to dry your swimwear and there is ample space on the communal roof terrace for all the family laundry. There is also in the apartment an electric kettle, toaster,coolbag and picnic set, hairdryer, Ipod speakers. Only 200 metres down the road at the sports centre is an open air swimming pool which is open from June until the end of August. English Satellite and Spanish television is installed and to get your stay off to a bubbly start, you will find a bottle of local Cava ready chilled in the fridge to welcome you. Optional welcome pack of essential food items available if you are arriving late, please ask for details.

FIESTAS IN L'AMPOLLA 2009: 10th MAY 'Diada de L'Ostra del Delta' called oysters from the Delta, this is a celebration during the daytime on the harbour front when you can sample locally caught oysters followed down with a glass of local Cava. 16th MAY IRONCAT champion of Catalunya- triathlon. 19th to 28th JUNE Festival of Saint Joan. A week long festival with fireworks, street entertainment, music, late night dancing, giants and bulls on the harbour. 15th to 18th JULY Festival of the VIrgin Carme, patron of the fishermen. Music, street balls, children's parties, concerts, bulls, culminating in a sea procession and fireworks display in honour of The Virgin Carme. 1st AUGUST A 'Magical Night' - an evening party with street performers. 13th SEPTEMBER 'Tres Tombs'. Horses, ponies and traditional carts and carriages walk through the streets of L'Ampolla and are blessed by the church. 20th SEPTEMBER 'festa de la sega', festival of rice at the harbour

FIESTAS IN L'AMPOLLA: 20th SEPTEMBER The rice festival 'Festa de la Sega'. Celebrated on the harbour front to honour the safe gathering of the rice from the fields on the Delta. Also throughout August there is an open air cinema 'under the stars' held on the harbour every weekend.

We have just had a wonderful holiday in this VERY well equipped apartment. You will find EVERYTHING that you will need here. The position is excellent; watching the boats, near the beach and close to a wide range of restaurants. We have children who don't eat fish - which is a prevalent delicacy in the village - but we did find a few restaurants in L'Ampolla which we enjoyed. Owners are fantastic - giving loads of info about the village and local area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The beeches were excellent and despite the poor exchange rate against the Euro the holiday was inexpensive compared to a self catering holiday in the UK. The views from the bedroom were fantastic and Lampolla is a lovely, safe destination even at night.
