Review on apartment in Sitges

To start with Saying, Sitges was beautiful, there were lots of small shops and a lovely beach, ideal for families. The apartment was a reasonable standard, although we felt a bit over priced for what it was, as there were modcons that didnt work, such as the television. The other major problem was that as three English speaking people, that don't speak a word of Spanish, to be greeted when we arrived by a lady that only spoke Spanish was a disadvantage, as she couldnt explain how things worked in the apartment or to answer any question we might have on the area, for example, how to get to the beach or supermarket, which would have saved us alot of time. To be frank, if we hadnt found a gentleman that spoke Spanish and English, we may still be waiting for her to arrive as when we contacted her to say we were at the complex, she couldnt work out what we were saying! all in all it is a clean and substantial place to rest your head, I wouldnt really describe it as stunning, there is a good train service in to Barcelona, for those who don't rent a car, it's about a 20-25min walk. The residents at the complex were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely Argentinan steak restaurant on the beach, it is expensive, but worth it, there's lovely silver shops to buy, bracelets and necklaces. One of the nicest things about Sitges was how safe we felt at night, it seemed well policed and taken care of. I would recommand this apartment, if the price was bought down, however be prepared for it to be very quiet.
