Lo Castellet, hilltop bungalow with panoramic views to the sea

This newly built bungalow is annexed to the main castle-like villa and offers the chance for visitors to experience the same idyllic environment enjoyed by the owners of Lo Castellet (the little castle). The superbly presented accommodation comprises a large lounge with TV, DVD, and CD and well equipped kitchen/diner with the master bedroom, family bedroom, bathroom and cloakroom accessed from a spacious hallway. Outside is a large terrace with it's own purpose built pool and b.b.q. The bungalow is completely private and self-contained. It boasts stunning views to the mountains behind and down to the Mediterranean. Step outside the gate to a choice of tranquil walks in the surrounding hills and countryside The nearest village (5 minutes by car) is Camarles, rustic and quaint, with the harbour and fishing village of L'Ampolla just a little further. The historic roman city of Tarragona, the ever bustling Salou and the Port Aventura theme parks are just 45 minutes away by train or car.

Lo Castellet is ideally situated to enjoy the best of all aspects of the area. Surrounded by the characterful countryside typical of Catalonia and yet just a short drive to L'Ampolla and other small towns and villages. All have their own unique fiestas with their own themes. Shopping can be done in the small local shops and daily markets or in the larger supermarkets in Amposta and Tortosa. The nearest beaches are in the fishing village of L'Ampolla with its harbour, pretty marina and variety of port-side restaurants. Nearby is the delta of the river Ebro, the well renowned bird sanctuary famous for its rice fields and amazing variety of bird-life including herons and flamingos. Not to mention some of the very best cat-fishing The cultural cities of Valencia to the south and Barcelona in the north are easily accessible by car or train. Short trips inland reveal some beautiful locations. Miravet castle of Knights Templar fame is well worth the seemingly precarious ferry crossing

Notes to the rental rates

  • Prices quoted are for 7 night stays but shorter stays can be accommodated out of season. 25% deposit is required on booking, balance to be paid on arrival in cash, although during the peak season of July and August we require another 50% deposit 6 weeks before arrival and the remainder of 25% paid on arrival in cash.
    A security deposit of 100 euros is required when you arrive which is refunded on departure less any agreed breakages/damage. This is to ensure all our guests have the opportunity to enjoy the same level of comfort.
    Rental rates include electricity, gas and water consumption but exclude a final cleaning charge of 50 euros per rental.
