L'Ametlla de Mar holiday chalet: L'Ametlla de Mar

Have just returned from this property after spending a week here at the end of August. We only booked this propery a couple of weeks before we went and had such a pleasant surprise when we arrived. The property had been updated since the photos on here were posted and looked so different. The living room had new furniture (fab huge comfy corner sofa), blinds etc and has been painted as was the master bedroom. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom are still quite basic but they certainly didnt spoil our stay. No air con but a huge ceiling fan in the living room and a portable fan for the bedroom which you need as we slept with the windows open one night and my husband was eaten alive by mosquitos. The property was far bigger than it appeared on the photos. There was a dvd player (take your own dvds) and a playstation 2 with a couple of games there. Local tv. Another great thing was that the owners had left various items for us to use which saved us having to buy them, such a toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, shampoo, conditioner, cooking oil, salt pepper etc which is very thoughtful. There are plenty of towels to use within the house and the bedding was all brand new and there were two sets for each bed. The location was fab but a car is a must as there are no shops or bars that you could walk too. It was very secluded and peaceful but a very short drive to the local beach which was spectacular. We swam in the sea every evening at about 6-7pm when the beach was less crowded and the sea was so warm. The pools on the urbanisation were fabulous and most days we were the only people there as a majority of the houses in this area have their own pools. Propery has an outside shower too, which was wonderful to use as it has hot and cold water. Would definitely recommend this house and would return there.
