Traditional white Andalusian farmhouse, restored to create a peaceful retreat in an idyllic rural location outside the small, historic and simply beautiful town of Montefrio, away from the stress of everyday living, but within easy travelling distance of the cosmopolitan delights of Granada, regal Jaen and Cordoba. Located at the end of a farm track, literally off the beaten track and one kilometer off the A335, and with olive groves as far as the eye can see on the hillsides surrounding the finca. The accommodation retains its rustic charm and is comfortably furnished, with two outside terraces overlooking the swimming pool, and olive groves surrounding the finca. There is a substantial natural garden in keeping with the environment, and parking area to the front of the property. There are almond, walnut, and fig trees, set amongst Spanish oaks, and mature grape vines providing welcome shade in summer. A perfect location to get away from it all and be at one with real Spain.

The Finca is set remotely on a farm track, one kilometer off A335. The A335 is a good road with beautiful views between Montefrio and Alcala al Real, both about 15 minutes drive. Montefrio is built in a stunning setting on a mountain crag, lit up at night it is magnificent. Montefrio has good local amenities and a range of local shops, small bars, and restaurants set in winding streets below the Iglesia de la Villa. Alcala al Real is set below the Castillo de Mota, a small town with busy shopping streets and a more extensive range of local bars and restaurants. Both have weekly local markets. Granada is 50 minutes away, and famous for the Alhambra Palace set above the city, its Morroccan quarter and excellent shopping area. The breathtaking Sierra Nevada and ski resort is 30 minutes drive or bus ride from Granada. The historic cities of Cordoba, Jaen and Seville can be accessed for a day trip. Notes: Enjoy the pure mountain air, watching the stars as the evening turns to night is a breathtaking experience, and there are some beautiful sunsets to enjoy from the terrace . Enjoy late night swimming in the pool, lit at night and with a roof terrace for a quiet drink and music.The new raised terraced area, with terracotta tiles, table and chairs and electric connectivity is the perfect space to watch over the pool, and look over the olives groves and hillsides The property is in rural Spain and guests must respect the water supply to the property which is natural, and supplemented in summer when necessary to meet guests normal water usage. This property is best appreciated by those people with an interest in supporting ecotourism. The washing machine is in a separate small laundry room, at the front of the property. Guests are asked to keep its use to a minimum to respect the need to conserve water in the rural environment where it is very precious for the surrounding farms.

Day passes available and hire of ski/snowboarding equipment in the ski village or in Granada Bus from Granada bus station twice in the morning - 4.5 euros each way about 40 mins spectacular drive to the lower ski village. Worth a trip even if you do not fancy the exertion of winter sports Granada has great plans for future Winter Sport events and there is a hope to have a cable car from the centre of Granada!
