Local area:
Within 10 minutes walk of Villa Limonero is a hot bread shop (also sells small selection of groceries, open year round), small supermarket/ bars/restaurants and miles of fantastic unspoilt BEACH.
There is a larger supermarket on this coastal road in El Portil and also at the thatched complex in El Rompido Both of these are car journeys. There is also a Carrefour hypermarket on the out skirts of Cartaya.
English newspapers and internet access is available locally.
Beach and activities:
Nuevo Portil beach is very suitable for young children, as the Fleche del Rompido, protects the beach from the high winds and rough currents of the Atlantic ocean. The beach stretches for 14Km and is backed by juniper woods and sand dunes.
The vast woodland is very popular for activity tourism like rambling, cycling and horse riding.
Bike hire and Horse riding are is available locally per hour, half day or all day. .
On the road into Cartaya you will also find the Kartodromo de Cartaya (Carting track) open year round and the very popular Aquopolis (water park) which opens normally the middle of June until first week in September.

HUELVA : The most visited attraction in Huelva is Muelle de las Carabelas, a wharf where you can see replicas of the Pinta, Nina and Santa Maria and from which Columbus sailed to discover the Americas. A visit to the Monastery at La Rabida is very interesting this is where Columbus planned his journey.
DONANA: One of Spain’s loveliest national parks and one of the largest dune areas in Europe, it is a World Heritage Site.
SEVILLE: The capital of Andalucia and the seat of the Andalucian Parliament. The truly wonderful city, the Plaza de Toros, the Cathedral and the Giralda tower with amazing views of the city from the top, Royal palace, the Santa Cruz quarter with it’s narrow streets and small squares full of flowers and charm. are all worth a visit.
SIERRA DE ARACENA: Villages of white houses set amidst woods of holm and cork oak- above all the best cured ham in Spain known as Jabugo.
EL ROCIO: Famous for the annual Rocio Pilgrimage is a strange outpost of the wild west
