Newly restored traditional Andalucian cave houses offer a unique holiday experience in friendly rural surroundings. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with no less than four Natural Parks on your doorstep, offering a wealth of outdoor activites.Both houses have been refurbished to a high standard, but still retain a rustic style with many unique features. The amazing natural insulation of cave houses means that they are both cool in summer and warm in winter. Cueva uno is a recently restored cave house. The accommodation is all on one floor with level access, parking for two cars and large sun terrace. Inside the property you will find a fully equipped kitchen, separate dinning room, lounge with wood burning stove leather sofas satellite TV and DVD. There are two bedrooms, one twin, one double and a bathroom with shower wash basin and WC. This property has been renovated to a high standard with quality furnishings and offers a unique holiday experience, it can be let with the adjacent Cueva dos to provide perfect accommodation for up to 10 people

Castillejar is situated between the fertile valleys of the rivers Bravata and Guardal. Some of the most beautiful natural parks in the country are only minutes away- Sierra de Baza to the south, the sierras of Huescar, Castril, Segura and Cazola to the north. These mountains offer a stunning contrast - pine forests, vertical rock faces, trout rivers, lakes and hot springs (the clear waters of Bano de Zujar maintain a constant 39c whatever the season). Fantastic views and some very pretty villages. Whether walking, cycling or horse riding or simply sightseeing, the opportunities are endless. It is also an area with an unprecedented wealth of history and prehistory.

Swimming pool, Lakes, Springs and Spa
There is a large outdoor swimming pool with a shallow area for small children with changing rooms, bar and restaurant, amphitheatre for concerts in the evening. Parking is provided. Open only during the months of July and August. The pool is on the outskirts of Castillejar, in the small village of Los Olivos. There is also a large outdoor swimming pool in Cullar, and natural spring water swimming pools nearby in Orce and Huescar. The intense blue of the water in the lake 'Embalse del Negratin', is in striking contrast to the landscape, and an ideal place for water sports, and also here you can relax in the thermal springs which are open every day except for Christmas day!
Hiking, Cycling and Horseriding
All of these activities can easily be undertaken virtually straight from your doorstep- there are many way marked routes, from simple strolls and walks between the villages to more demanding challenges in the surrounding mountains. Bike hire and horse riding are available locally.
