This beautiful new Spanish style villa with private swimming pool is perfect for a relaxing family holiday or an active outdoor vacation. It is situated in a quiet residential estate with views of the mountains and only five minutes from several stunning beaches. The fishing village of L’Ametlla de Mar is a few minutes drive and the Universal Studios theme park in Salou is less than 30 minutes away. This area is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts with several golf courses close by, plenty of great fishing spots, water sports and spectacular hiking along the often-rugged coastline. Alternatively, you can relax in the private grounds of the villa and enjoy the swimming pool, built in brick barbecue and the roof terrace for sun bathing. The villa has a king-size bed in the master bedroom and is equipped to a very high standard.

The villa is situated in Tres Calas (three coves), a small estate with several bars, restaurants, a supermarket and bakery located at the entrance to the estate, all within a short walk from the villa. The local fishing village of L’Ametlla de Mar is a five-minute drive away and has many bars, restaurants and shops. The fishing boats can be seen returning to port with their day’s catch in the early evening. It has a train station for easy access to Barcelona. L’Ametlla has both sandy and pebble beaches, cliffs and coves making it one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines in Spain. There are also many historic towns and castles to visit in the nearby area.

Notes: There is a large patio and BBQ area, lots of sunbeds and outdoor furniture. There is also a roof terrace accessed via a spiral staircase for great views and a pleasant place to watch the sunset. The villa is cleaned and towels and bed linen are changed on a weekly basis. The local villa manager speaks both English and French.

How To Get There: Both Reus and Barcelona airports are served by low cost airlines. Ryan Air flies into Reus, a 25-minute drive away and Easy Jet fly into Barcelona, an hour and 25 minute drive. Rental cars can easily be picked up at both airports and the train to L’Ametlla de Mar can be taken from Barcelona.

Golf: There are several great golf courses near by. The villa manual describes the courses and how to get there.

RELAXING....

Spent a week at this lovely villa with two young children and an elderly mother.

The villa is on small estate with neighbours either side to but you don't feel overlooked. The pool is at the front of the house and again a high wall keeps away prying eyes. The pools is a good size and depth - maybe a little too deep for very young children or non swimmers. Once you've decided to book this villa the owner provides a wealth of information regarding the property and the area.

The accommodation is all on one floor so very helpful for the elderly or infirm - although there are a couple of steps up/down to the pool area. All the kitchen utensils etc are well provided for. There is air-con in the living area and master bedroom which is great when you need to cool down !! Would suggest that ceiling fans in the other 2 bedrooms would help as it got quite stuffy at night.

The town/village of L'Ametlla de Mar has some real nice restaurants specialising in fish of course !! Can be difficult to park but there is parking at the top of the village and a little train can be taken into the centre (it's free) and you can hop on/off.

There is supermarket on the estate for the villa and although he is a little more expensive than the SPAR in the town, it's easy to park and he does cater for visitors on short stays, ie small jars of mayo, small packets of butter etc and his fresh fruit and veg is lovely. The SPAR is by the station and a nightmare to park and we didn't feel there was a huge difference in price, so we opted for the local guy.

Overall an enjoyable week's holiday and would recommend this villa if you want to explore this area.

This is a well appointed and well maintained property, the villa is very comfortable and well described in the web site, we have three children aged between 11 and 16 and the pool was a main attraction , also the nearby theme park Port Aventura was a good day out. Very Good !!!

Nice and very clean villa. Beautiful garden, and the children loved the pool. Lots of nice beaches and places to see in the area, but a car is absolutly necessary. Not much to do in the village. The interior is in a minimalistisk style, easy to keep clean. We could rent it again some time.
