Very private single storey villa, set in delightful gardens of one acre, lawns lead down to idyllic secluded beach and the Indian Ocean. Amazing sunsets from the terrace. Near Yala National Park.Fully staffed in separate bungalow in the grounds. 4 hours from Colombo and off beyond the tourist trail. Chauffeured vehicle available at the Villa for Airport transfers, local runs and tours to Kandy can be arranged direct with Villa Manager. Nearest Airport: Colombo at 142 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Galle at 15 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
Weligama is a small fishing town just half a mile from our villa on the south coast of Sri Lanka and off the tourist trail with fabulous beaches and stunning scenery. The Indian Ocean, palm trees, sandy beaches and a laid back way of life. Our manager can take you on tours to Yala National Park to look for leopard and bear, Unawatuna, Galle town for shopping, or on a 3 day tour of the central highlands, visiting Kandy, tea estates, elephant orphanage, stunning waterfalls and viewing wildlife en route. (We stay at the unique Helga's Folly in Kandy). Golf is available in Kandy at Lake Victoria Dam and there are plenty of temples, gemstone factories, antiques and craft shops to visit. Our manager's wife will also teach you how to make a Sri Lankan curry (on request). We can arrange for an ayuverdic masseur to come to our villa and sooth your body and soul (on request). Cricket is the beloved game in Sri Lanka and Galle has its own test match ground at Galle Fort. There is much to see!

  • RENTAL RATE IS BASED ON 4 PERSONS HIRING OUR VILLA. PLEASE ADD GBP100 PER EXTRA PERSON/CHILD PER WEEK. Rate includes all meals, a la carte, soft drinks and fruit baskets. Daily newspaper and English speaking butler service. Laundry is extra. 50% payable on reservation and balance payable 10 weeks prior to booking date. Deposit is refundable (less £75) up to 10 weeks prior to booking date should cancellation be necessary, and non refundable thereafter. Collection/delivery to colomb airport arranged in air-conditioned chauffeured mini bus and at your disposal during your stay (charged as an extra).
  • Rates based on party on 4 persons hiring our villa. Please add GBP100 per extra person/child per week. Rate includes all meals.
  • Qualified resident Ayuverdic Masseur available and treatments payable direct to masseur at the Villa.

Check out our web site for more photos and references, please ask for link. In January 2006 we organised wedding ceremony number 5 at Villa Hibiscus. DVD available if you are thinking of getting married at our Villa.

Ceiling fans and mosquito nets in all bedrooms. All meals cooked to order by our chef, or traditional Sri Lankan dishes, initial fridge load of soft drinks and water provided (bring your own alcohol). Terrific sunsets from terrace. Tours can be arranged in air conditioned vehicle. This property is ideal for people seeking tranquility and privacy in beautiful surroundings.

Flights to Sri Lanka from the UK: Recommended company for provision of air tickets is Travelpack of Harrow 0870 121 2040. They consistently give good prices for direct flights from Heathrow to Colombo travelling with Sri Lankan airlines. (Ask for Savio Veigas). Flights from Gatwick can be bought online through First Choice web site or at any of their shops throughout the UK. They fly twice a week to Colombo - direct flight - at charter prices.

Really amazing sunsets, the best place for those who was tied from the noisy bustling towns.
Friendly administrator. Nice design inside. Delicious cooking. Owner is a nice and intelligent person.
