Flanked by lush green paddy fields, set amidst flowing coconut palms and indigenous trees in over one and a half acres of gardens and enhanced by beautiful scenery and exotic wildlife, the very foundations of Nidahasa are situated on a century-old dwelling which has been sensitively restored to its original splendor. Additional chalets have also been constructed in a rural style to complement the original villa. A cool swimming pool, a viewing pavilion and reconstructed replica of a village house are also added. Here you will be far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. However should you wish you can use the special music and video room that is fitted out with a large plasma screen. The library of over 100 videos and Sattnelite TV is available for viewing here or in the privacy of your bedroom. Our Sri Lankan chef will definitely provide you with authentic Sri Lankan meals and curries, but he is also competent in European style dishes. Your choice will be his command!

This property is only 1.5 kilometers from the beach and five star hotels and it is set on a small rise overlooking paddy fields. Only 35 kilometers from Colombo it enjoys a serene and very private environment in gardens of over 1.5 acres. A boat trip up the Madhu Ganga provides pleasant afternoon with our picnic lunch on board and a visit the Koduwa Vihara temple on an island in the river. Take a private visit to the beautiful gardens of the late Bevis Bawa, elder brother of the famous architect Geoffrey Bawa. At Kalutara South one finds the unique hollow Dagoba lined with 74 jakarta cartoons depicting the life of Lord Buddah. Beruwalla is reputed to be the first Moorish settlement in 8th century and here is the Kchchimalai Mosque set on a headland by the sea. Further south - about 1 hours drive is the town of Ambalangoda famous for its carved masks and devil dancers. The rest house here apart from providing a good curry lunch has a lovely rock protected cove for sea swimming.

    Up to 30 November 2009 Kiripalu suite $150, Samanpitcha and Koboleela rooms $125 per night.
    From 01 December 2009 to 31 March 2010 Kiripalu US$175, Samanpitcha and Koboleela rooms US$135.
    We give a discount of 10% for a weeks stay. We offer further discounts for stays of more than two weeks.
