Hasslet, as this property is known, is a traditional Swedish cottage in excellent condition, complete with wooden floors, open fires and a small conservatory. 90 square metres in size and designed to comfortably accommodate four to five people in style, it incorporates two double bedrooms - one with an extra (third) bed - kitchen and dinning area, living room, laundry room and bathroom.There is a small house in the garden with a big stone oven inside which can be used for baking bread, cakes and pizza. Set within its own large gardens (2,000sq m) at the edge of the forest and surrounded by fields, the cottage is situated on the outer fringes of a sleepy village, half way between Kalmar and Karlskrona, in the south-east of Sweden. Several shops, including a bakery, an off-license, two large supermarkets and a traditional craft shop, are within easy reach (approx. 2.5km). Close to the sea and sandy beaches it also offers an ideal base for both cycling and hiking holidays. A nearby pony farm offers children the opportunity to participate in horseriding activities. The area is known for its traditional arts and crafts – Swedish crystal (Orrefors, Kosta Boda) and wood work (Hemslöjd) in particular. Other tourist attractions include Astrid Lindgren’s world (Pippi Longstocking) as well as Öland Paradise Island.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The Tenant is required to pay a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the agreed rental price within 14 days of receiving the invoice. The remaining balance is to be paid at least 2 weeks before the arrival date. If the time elapsed between the signing of the contract and the arrival date is less than 14 days, then the total rental fee is payable immediately. A separate security deposit of € 490 is also required which will be refunded on departure, once utilities have been deducted (electricity, wood).
    On request, bed linen and towels can be provided at an additional cost of € 10.- per person. Guests are required to leave the house as clean and tidy as found upon arrival; professional cleaning is available for a fee.
    On request, it is also possible to rent the house for a period of one week only. In this case, the weekly rent increases to € 500.-/520.- to take account of the additional costs arising from a shorter rental period.
