'Palazzo Varesi' is a premier vacation / holiday flat, ideally situated in the heart of beautiful Locarno, Switzerland. This well-appointed 5th-floor corner apartment (with lift) is only a 4 minute walk to the Piazza Grande, and just 1 block from the Lake Maggiore waterfront. It has 2 large bedrooms, including a master bedroom with king bed and private balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped. One private, covered parking place is included. 'Palazzo Varesi' has 2 balconies with views of the magnificent Lake Maggiore, Old Town, and the lush greenery of Mount Cimetta. The Locarno area is one of exceptional natural beauty, combining a subtropical Mediterranean climate with snow-capped Alpine Peaks. This property is professionally managed and maintained by the Swiss agency 'HolAp'. It has a 3-star rating by the Locarno Tourist Office. References are available upon request.

  • Rates are for full unit (1-6 people, same price), including all utilities. Prices listed are per night, except for weekly rate. Children ages 2 and under are free. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: End cleaning = 110 Sfr. Booking fee = 35 Sfr. Cancellation insurance = 3% of rental amount. Rental tax = 2 Sfr/person/night. OPTIONAL: Linens/towels = 20 Sfr/person.
  • LONG-STAY DISCOUNTS: 14 days for the price of 10. 3 weeks for the price of 2. (Not offered in high season).
  • CANCELLATION: Fixed fee of 80 Sfr, plus a percentage of rental amount, depending on # days advance notice (ranging from 10% for less than 90 days prior, to 100% for less than 7 days prior). Full refund if apartment is rebooked.

'Palazzo Varesi' has beautiful views to Lake Maggiore, Old Town, and the lush green mountains beyond. Locarno is the sunniest city in Switzerland, and with its Mediterranean climate, combines the best of Swiss congeniality and Italian flair. Within a 10 minutes walk there is the Casino, Teatro di Locarno, beach, public pool, public tennis courts, main boat dock, train station, cable car, mini-golf, and parks. A fully-detailed House Book in the apartment gives information on area shops, restaurants, sights, and services.

'Palazzo Varesi' makes a perfect base from which to explore Switzerland and northern Italy. Many wonderful tourist destinations are within easy drive: in Switzerland, Ascona, Bellinzona, Lugano, Zurich and Zermatt are all within a few hours ride. In Italy one can easily visit the Maggiore Lake towns of Cannobio, Intra, and Stresa, as well as places such as Milan, Verona, and the famous Italian lakes Lago D'Orta and Lake Como. Many of our guests stay for 3 weeks or more, making numerous side trips.

A beautiful place, nice lake view, ideally situated in the centre of town. The flat is spacious and well-appointed. The management team is very professional, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommended.
