Schonegg apartment lived up to the description given in the advert on the holiday-rentals website. We have used other rental companies for apartments abroad but we have found the owners were rather economical with the truth. This is NOT the case with this apartment. It was perfect for our stay in Engelberg. The location was perfect for train travellers. Two minutes from rail station, shops, bank, restaurants, cable cars, lovely mountain walks.The owners of the property provided a first class apartment and excellent customer service. As a family we visited the surrounding mountains and attempted most of the activites on offer( trotti biking being the favourite with us), visited the cheese factory, monastery and also attended the local traditional folk singing and dancing held the local park. It was brilliant.The swimming pool was the cleanest one we have ever visited in the world. Although the outside pool is rather cool, swimming with the view of the mountains takes your mind off the the temperature, the indoor pool was warm. We had 8 days here with two teenagers and every day we had enough to do. We catered most of the time indoors, but had pizza's from the nearby pizzeria, and they were lovely. I have already recommeded this property to my friends, and we would go go back in the future.
