This chalet is set in the beautiful quiet location of the Lauterbrunnen valley. In summer it is famous for its amazing waterfalls, spectacular mountain views, hiking, biking and mountaineering are popular summer activities, for the adrenalin seeker canyoning and skydiving are a must. In winter it is a wonderful ski resort with numerous ski lifts and cable cars. The area is known most famously for its downhill ski race in Wengen, every January. This picturesque mountain valley has the well known Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau region on one side and the Schlithorn region on the other side. Both skiers and snowboarders will be delighted. The wildlife in this area is second to none, you will see daily chamois, deers and falcons, prepare to be amazed! If you wish to see more of our chalet look on our home page, ask us for link.

Our family stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks. This was a fantastic location for exploring the Jangfrau region and enjoying all the winter sports activities available. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at "home" during our stay. We did not have a car and found the apartment very convenient for public transportation. The bus stop is aprox. 100m from the apartment door. We loved that we could open up the doors and our 2 young kids could run and play in the snow outside. We would highly recommend the chalet to our friends or family who were visiting the area.

A lovely traditional chalet, in a beautiful area. Although we'd hired a car, public transport was good.
There's loads to explore, and fantastic mountain views from the trains and cable cars. The waterfalls in the area are very dramatic, and the Trummelbach falls are only a few minutes walk from the chalet.
We have 2 young children, and they enjoyed the area. We found what most be some of the most scenic playgrounds in the world!
The owners live upstairs, and have a big boisterous, friendly white dog.

We had high expectations of this property and were not disappointed. Situated back from the road, but within easy walking distance of the bus stop (20m) we were able to use the delights of the Swiss transport system with ease. Beautifully clean and spectacular views of the magnificent mountain scenery. Charming hosts. Quiet and peaceful - an ideal spot to recharge the batteries. Our children aged 16 and 12 were equally impressed. If you want a home from home slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the busier resorts of Wengen, Murren and Grindelwald, but still be within easy travelling distance, then this is an ideal spot to choose. Our third visit to the area, first time self-catering - will definitely do again. No problems with shopping, adequate supplies in Lauterbrunnen and plenty of places to eat out - although it was much cosier to stay in!! Sue Mike Mark & Rachel
