Perfect location for Families

What an amazing alpine adventure! Arrived in the fairytale town of Saas Fee thanks to perfectly punctual Swiss trains and buses to be greeted by snow, snow, snow! We had heard that Saas Fee was a good resort for keen skiers due to it's altitude/glacier and for familes due its safe town ( no cars - so be prepared to walk everywhere!) and unspoilt Swiss community. It certainly didn't disappoint. Our oldest (6) was thrilled to receive a medal and a cuddly toy at the end of her week at ski school and our youngest (2) was happy to toddle around and play in the snow. Another great hit with all the family was the fantastic ( very warm) public swimming pool - not quite the apris ski we enjoyed before kids....but nevertheless, great fun. The skiing was great for beginners and intermediates and the mountain restaurants were always welcoming.
We were very pleased with the chalet - all mod cons and very comfortable, warm and chic. Perfectly designed for ski-holidays - plenty of room for all the boots/skis/pushchairs etc. downstairs and amazing views in the open plan living/dining area upstairs. A delightful ten minute walk to the bottom of the ski slope through town - if you made it past the bakery without stopping...
We ate in most nights so didn't sample many restaurants but made it out to a traditioanl Swiss style chalet hotel for some good food one night - relaxed and romantic atmosphere.
Overall, really would recommend this resort and chalet to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable Alpine retreat. We are already planning our next return!
Owner's Response: An increasing number of our guests are choosing to arrive by train from either Geneva or Zurich, due to the fact that a car is not required in Saas Fee. We also tried this ourselves this year and found it fairly painless and stress free, even with a toddler in tow!
