Apartment A (Sleeps 2 - 4) The Ultimate in Luxury Apartments with floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides affording the most stunning 220 degree panoramic views over Engelberg and the mountains. This beautiful, magnificently appointed apartment is totally unique and is arguably the finest apartment in the region. A massive living area with a delightful Wood Burning Open Fire, Hi Fi, Satellite TV, DVD Player etc. leads into a 'state of the art' Kitchen which includes, dishwasher, microwave etc. The large Double Bedroom with walk in wardrobe has a PC with DVD and the adjoining Bathroom is the ultimate in luxury with separate shower, double basins and a huge bath. There is a continuous balcony around 3 sides with a large covered Sitting Area at the centre. There are 2 large terraces on each side, one with a Private Hot Tub which has unbeatable views. ALPHAVEN … a few other things you might like to know! • Alphaven is 1200 metres (4000 feet) above Sea Level. • It is a 4 MINUTE WALK to the SKI BUS (Route 4) which is FREE during the Ski Season and is every half an hour. • It takes 10 minutes to walk to the village and allow 15 minutes to walk back up! • When there is snow cover … you can Ski / Board back to the house from the “Brunni” side of the mountain. • There is a footpath next to the house which connects to all the beautiful walking routes. • There is a Sitting Area in the Garden above the house which is a perfect setting in the summer for Barbecue’s or simply relaxing and enjoying the magnificent views. • If you want to eat out and don’t want to drive, the four* Waldegg Hotel is a 5 minute walk, it has a delightful restaurant with wonderful food and a recently completed Swimming Pool and Gym. A Magnificent new 18 Hole Golf Course completes the picture for the perfect Summer Stays.

Hi Ursula, I cannot thank you enough for our great stay in Alphaven. It is beyond what we had imagined. Our first wedding anniversary went off just beautifully!! It is just a beautiful place and my wife was so happy to be there. The only problem we had was that we never felt like leaving the place … the view and the luxury in your apartment was just amazing. Skiing Information:
ENGELBERG has one of the longest ski seasons in Europe. Mid November to the end of May ... most of the Skiing starts at 1800 metres which guarantees superb snow cover. SNOWBOARDERS AND SKIERS are in heaven here with a 2 amazing Snow parks and extensive off piste runs including the famous 'LAUB'. One of the biggest vertical ascents in the world 3000 metres to 1000 metres and a 13 km run. World Cup Ski Jumping here every December.

We stayed in the apartment in the first week of December in 2007... it is THE best place we have ever stayed. The views are breathtaking, and seemed to get more breathtaking by the day. Every morning that I woke up I would jump straight out of bed and open up the shutters to get a glimpse of the view.
We wanted for nothing, everything was there and more. The apartment was clean, spotless and looked after. The real fire was comforting and serene after a day out skiing and the cold. And the hot tub was amazing!
We also had lots and lots of snow, it didn't stop snowing for a good few days and was beautiful to watch the heavy snow through the panoramic windows whilst warming our toes in front of the fire.
I cannot wait to go back to this apartment... and we most definitely will!
The chalet owners are really friendly and helpful too.
