Chateau D'Oex is a picturesqu Alpine mountain village with a variety of good shops, restaurants and an excellent Co-Op supermarket. Ski equipment is available for hire from sports shops. Low cost flights are available to Geneva, which is only 120 Kilometres away from Chateau D'Oex, which is situated close (20 minutes) to Gstaad, and is 12 hours drive from London. The train from Geneva connects with the MOB Panoramic railway at Montruex, which takes the picturesque route to Chateau d’Oex. A pick up from the local railway station can usually be arranged.

  • Notes to the rental rates:

    Rental rates are based on 2 persons sharing. Only weekly rental is offered for Balloon week in January at SFRs 450.00. All Rental rates include water, electricity, heating, use of heated swimming pool, sauna/steam room, gym and parking for one car in the underground car park.

    Extra charges are made for Final Cleaning at SFRs 110 and house laundry at SFRs 35 per person.

    A security cash security deposit of SFRs 200 must be lodged with our resident Rentals Manager on arrival at La Residence Rosat. This will be refunded by the Rentals Manager on departure, provided no damages and/or extra charges have been incurred.

    A 20% deposit is required with booking by the tenant and the balance must be lodged in the bank 8 weeks before arrival at La Residence Rosat. All payments should be made in Swiss Francs by electronic transfer directly to the nominated Bank in Chateau
  • No bookings will be accepted for more than 4 persons.

    Any tenant arriving with more than the confirmed number in their party (as set out in the booking confirmation) will only be allowed access to the apartment when the extra charges involved are paid to the Rentals Manager.
  • It is recommended that adequate travel insurance cover is taken out to cover cancellations and subsequent loss of pre-payments.

Notes: Notes: There is one bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room. This apartment would be perfect for a couple with a young child, or maybe two. The building has a lift. A laundry room is situated on the lower ground floor. Washing machines and tumble driers are provided. In the swimming pool area, there are changing rooms, shower, hair-dryer and toilets etc. The building also has a large ground floor seating area with library and card tables. A bar and dining room open at request. There is also a downstairs ski room and bike store. The garden has a chess board, boule pitch, sitting out area etc. Guests are provided with a copy of the house rules.

Skiing: Ski bus is available from outside apartment with links with La Braye cable car (departs from centre of village) and station (linking to all areas). This service is included in the price of many of the ski pass options. Chateau D'Oex lies within the White Highlands Super Ski Region near to Gsstaad, which has 250km pistes and 66 lifts in six areas. Suitable for all standards - four-hour, daily or weekly ski tickets available. Excellent instruction, nursery and snow park in Chateau D'Oex for children.

Summer Activities: Walking routes and mountain access via cable cars, skiing at Diableret glacier, fresh water fishing, white-water rafting, mountain biking, cycling, swimming, tennis, tenpin bowling, golf (Gstaad and Villars Golf Clubs), mini-golf, horse riding, archery, hot-air ballooning. Plenty of musical and cultural festivals and events, and traditional mountain events.

Ballooning: Chateau d'Oex is world famous for ballooning. Balloon Week is spectacular and this winter is between 22nd and 30th January.

The entire flat was very well equipped and clean.

Only 15mins walk from Chateau D'Oex station and 10mins walk to the shops and town centre.

Very helpful customer service.

Would definitely recommend to others.
Ideal for those without a car!

Lots of brilliant walking on the doorstep.

great appartment ,very reasonable price

we were a family of four and it was quite adequate even though it is small we never felt cramped. bathroom and shower modern and decent size, kitchen small but very well equipped and modern. It is a nice light and airy modern and clean appt. Angelo who meets you is AMAZING, great help and will make sure you have everything you need. The building has very good facilities so we enjoyed use of pool/sauna and garden. It's about ten mins gradual downhill walk into the village centre which our small kids did every day easily, and as it was early summer we could do alot of nice walks from the appt up onto the mountain. Would definitely recommend it as a very reasonable,convenient and pleasant place to stay with two small children. Chateau Doex is a lovely village with very good train access[ if you dont have a car] to surrounding areas if you want to explore the region. bike hire at train station. also possible to hire a car in village or use reasonable taxi fare[about 9chf to appt from the Coop supermarket with a big week shop] Only downside is no balcony, but there are lovely views from large windows of the wooden chalets/moutains and cows whose bells tinkle in distance!! and bottom floor of appt building has big garden that we had to ourselves in mid july. [The big lounge area has loads of board games for kids and adults ]

We stayed in this apartment in February 2009 while trying out our first family, 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 8 years) ski holiday. We were quite apprehensive about it all but we couldn’t have made a better choice !!! We travelled by air and then train, which was an experience itself which we all enjoyed and I would recommend. We got a panoramic train up to the village which the kids loved. The apartment, building, location (easy 10 minute walk to the village centre), village and ski-ing were all fabulous. The apartment itself is only one bedroom but was great value for money and absolutely perfect for us with a very easy to make up, comfy bed in the living area for the kids. The apartment and building were first class with a lovely atmosphere and absolutely immaculate with everything you could possibly want. The service from the on site rentals manager was faultless from start to finish with no request for advice or assistance being too much. Access to ski hire from a local shop and ski-ing from the Swiss Ski School was easy and good value for money. We had a super instructor who helped make the holiday. Everyone in the village, which is very family orientated, were polite and helpful and the whole experience has made us look forward to repeating it next year.

excellent holiday experience

We stayed at this apartment in january 2009 and we could not have been more pleased with the apartment, or the service provided by the on site rentals manager. The apartment itself is absolutely immaculate, and although the apartment itself is only 1 bedroomed, we never felt too cramped, even with 3 small children. It has everything you need in the well supplied kitchen if you wish to self cater, or its only a 10 minute walk to the main street if you wish to dine out. The building itself is looked after superbly by Anjelo, the rentals manager who could not be more polite, or helpful, no matter how big or small any problem may be, and really is an absolute asset to the place. The facilities from the underground car park, to the indoor pool/sauna area, the gym, and the lounge bar area, really are second to none, as is the whole condition of the apartment building. I can honestly say I will not hesitate in booking this apartment again for next year, and have even talked with my wife about a long weekend break without the children, as it really is the perfect getaway to relax and unwind.

We spent a wonderful week in August at this apartment and absolutely loved it. The rooms are clean and modern and the communal facilities are fantastic. The location is perfect with the train station and of shops only a 10-15 min walk away through the beautiful town.
