This lovely, highly acclaimed,first floor, 3 bedroom apartment is comfortable with a generous 110sq m of living space. It offers an opportunity to holiday in the famous Lauterbrunnen valley of 72 waterfalls. Whether your choice is Summer or Winter you can be sure of lots to do or just chill out with the fantastic view from our balcony or leisurely walks on the flat. It is fitted out to a high standard for discerning people. The living/dining area captures the view towards the mountains and has a full width balcony for sun bathing or eating outside and faces SOUTH. The master bedroom has a sloping pine ceiling and looks to the Staubbach waterfall as do the other two bedrooms . A car is useful but not essential. There is a garage for use by renters. We also include 3 bicycles for your free use at your own risk. More can be hired nearby. Wireless broadband is available. The price includes heating, cleaning, linen, local taxes and taxed rubbish bags.

The Lauterbrunnen Valley is surrounded by the unspoilt natural beauty of the magnificent Swiss Alps including the Eiger mountain. Lauterbrunnen's cascading 300 metre high Staubbach waterfall, viewed from all bedrooms, becomes even more impressive when illuminated at night. The famous Trummelbach falls inside the Jungfrau are a short walk away. An easy 30 minutes' walk along the valley brings you to Stechelberg with access to superb mountain walking. 10 minutes walk in the other direction are the main shops, restaurants, banks and post office. Interlaken is about 15 minutes drive or train ride away with its wide variety of shops and lake pursuits. Lauterbrunnen is a great base to explore the Jungfrau Ski Region. There are 45 mountain trains, cable cars, chair and ski lifts, with 210km of pistes for skiers, 100km of winter hiking and cross-country tracks, and 50km of sledge runs.

  • There may be flexibility on length of stay and changeover days, please contact us. The rental rates include heating, electricity, hot water, bed linen, towels, private garage, ski/bike storage AND local taxes for up to 6 people. Some taxed rubbish bags will also be provided. 50 pounds will be returned to you if only 2 people stay in the property in Mid and Low seasons. A security deposit of 200 pounds sterling will be required to secure the booking. This will be returned within 2 weeks of departure subject to the apartment being left in good condition. This deposit is non-returnable in the event of a cancellation. Wireless Broadband is available.

Notes: This spacious apartment sleeps 6 in comfort but z-beds/cots can be made available in bedroom 1 or the living area if required. The maximum therefore is 6 adults and 2 small children. The south-facing balcony leads from the living area. The fridge has a small freezer compartment suitable for ice-cream and the odd additional items. A garage is available for 1 car and there is parking space for one more car. There are also bike and ski stores. The apartment has been furnished to a very high standard. We include 3 bikes for your use at your own risk - more can be hired nearby. The price includes heating, cleaning, linen, local taxes and taxed rubbish bags. The cable TV accesses BBC channels and many others. There is also a wireless internet connection. There is an outdoor pool in 1 km and tennis courts in 150 m. Spa facilities for that bit of pampering are available at reasonable rates at some hotels in the town. There are boat trips all year round from Interlaken.

Skiing: The prices in Switzerland are fairly comparable with UK and many other countries. For example here are the skiing prices:The three areas covering 213 km of pistes are linked with a single pass: 2 days about CHR126=£70, 6 days about CHR300=£175. Individual passes valid for each area: 1 day about CHR60=£35, 2 days CHR110= about £64. All the resorts have schools offering both daily classes and private lessons in skiing and snowboarding. Ski hire is available in Lauterbrunnen. The langlauf track is situated right outside the chalet. The helicopter station is 300m away. A trip over the snow covered Eiger at any time of year is not to be missed. Ask to set down for lunch at a mountain hut for the most peaceful and tranquil experience you'll ever have!

One of our best holidays. We had lot of expectations before the arrival and the apartment plus location simply exceeded all our expectations. Clean, spacious, fully furnished with all required amenities and properly guided in every aspect. Ideal location for scenic/ relaxing/ adventures holiday. Rob is really helpful and prompt from start to finish. Overall fabulous, stunning and wish to return.

If you are looking for a relaxing comfortable stay, in a spacious and well equipped apartment you can't go wrong with this absolute gem. We loved the area, the view, the sounds of the river lulling us to sleep, the walking, the public transport and the total magic of the Lauterbrunnen valley. Rob is great to deal with - very helpful, as is Kathryn, the British agent in resort. Lots of activities for adrenalin junkies, families and mountain lovers. Highly recommended!

Fabulous apartment with incredible views

My family had an incredible three weeks experience exploring this beautiful country from the comforts of this wonderful apartment. The apartment was bright and spacious, we lacked for nothing. One cannot put into words what the scenery is like from the balcony!! Staying in this modern home made our "day trips" to explore Switzerland a breeze. The transportation system from Lauterbrunnen was excellent, we never felt we needed a car! Thanks for all the emails answering my many questions, Rob. This was a perfect "family" vacation!

Lovely Home/Stunning Valley

A perfect stay for our family. We were visiting Lauterbrunnen with four children (ages 12-17) and this home was spacious, well-appointed and equipped with all comforts and conveniences - plus waterfall views from every window! Especially appreciated the modern kitchen, washer and dryer, wi-fi, DVD player and board games. The bikes were a great bonus - we used them daily. The short walk into town was a pleasure and access to the trails and train lines was convenient. One could spend several weeks in Laterbrunnen and still not see all the sights in this area - but, if you have limited time, we recommend the Trummelbach Falls (bring cash!); the short trail that takes you behind Staubach Falls; and the train to Wengen, connecting to the gondola to Mannlichen and then hike to Kleine Scheidegg for lunch before taking the train back down to Laterbrunnen.
P.S.Be aware that there is no phone in the home, so you need to have a cell phone.
