MAIGLÜCK is a delightful swiss chalet situated in one of the most beautiful valleys in Switzerland. Completely surrounded by mountains, it is in a wonderfully romantic setting just a short distance from the centre of ENGELBERG. This spacious and well equipped family house is in a very peaceful location and is superbly positioned for Winter Sports and Summer Walking. This cosy CHALET is on three levels and has a large floor area of 180 square metres with sensational views from every window. It comprises a very spacious Living Room, separate modern Kitchen, Office/Reading Room, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms and the laundry / washer drier. The house has a delightful private garden with a sunny terrace to the rear for relaxing or enjoying the fantastic panoramic views across open countryside to the snow covered mountains beyond. A Swiss delight!

Maigluck is a fabulous place to stay. We came across this property on the internet and found the booking process very simple and the owners to be extremely helpful. The accommodation is clean, spacious, well equipped and well laid out. We had four adults and two children in our party and everyone enjoyed themselves. The centre of Engelberg is a lovely 10 minute walk away and has all the amenities you require. Both the local swimming pool and the Eienwaldli were fantastic. We would especially recommend taking the cable car to Titlus, 4 meters of snow, fantastic, and the train journey to Lucern is not to be missed! We had an exceptional meal at the Schweizerhaus restaurant one evening and it was only a couple of minutes walk away. We would happily recommend this chalet and hope to return ourselves very soon. Seit 7 Jahren kommen wir, 4 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder, nach Engelberg in die Skiferien. Wir freuen uns immer wieder riesig auf unsere Sportwoche. Das Haus ist gross genug für uns 8 Personen. Während wir Erwachsenen es uns im gemütlichen Wohnzimmer bequem machen, können sich die Kinder im oberen Stock im Spielzimmer austoben. Tagsüber sind wir zwar selten zu Hause, da wir in den zwei nahegelegenen Skigebieten Winterwandern, Schlitteln, Skifahren oder einfach nur die Aussicht geniessen. Wie jedes Jahr, haben wir uns auch diesmal wieder wunderbar erholt. Liebe Familie Rast, wir freuen uns schon heute, Sie im 2010 wiederzusehen.
Owner's Response: Zufriedene Gäste, die gerne zurückkommen, sind unser Ziel. Es ehrt uns, dass es schon so viele sind. Wir investieren jedes Jahr in unser Maiglück, damit Sie sich immer auf Ihre Ferien freuen können. Unser Chalet ist wirklich bestens geeignet für 2 Familien mit je 2 Kindern oder auch für eine Familie mit den Grosseltern. Andererseits fühlen sich auch Kleinfamilien hier wohl und geborgen, sie haben etwas mehr Platz doch Maiglück bleibt immer das heimelige Zuhause.
Seit die neue Brunni-Bahn auf die Klostermatte umgezogen ist, liegt Maiglück noch idealer.

Mayglück in April

The chalet is spacious enough for six people. It is very quiet during day and night. The view is on fields and mountains. It is located on walking distance for the skibus, towncentre and easy walking trails. Even when it rains there are historic places which are surprisingly interesting and unique.
You feel directly at home in the chalet with all modern comfort. There are a lot of books in the library upstairs. All notification was correct. It was a good experience.
Owner's Response: Yes in the library is quite a collection of German, English and French books, also children books. Lots of different games, puzzles and toys for the whole family you will find in the cupboard at the entrance.

wir hatten sehr schöne 4 Tage mit ausreichend Flugerlebnissen vom 1.4. Mai.
Die Abende im Maiglück konnten alle auf der wunderschönen Tewrrasse mit der herrlichen Aussicht genossen werden.
Wir werden bei der nächsten Enegelberg-Paragliding Tour auf jeden Fall wieder das Maiglück buchen

Christmas at Maiglück

Our family, including small grandchildren, has spent the last three Christmas periods at the Chalet Maiglück and were very happy there. The house is bright, warm and well equipped, and the owners are charming. What we like in particular: the location which is quiet and yet not far from the centre, the amazing night sky and the unimpeded view on the mountains. There is an excellent restaurant about 200 meters away and just next door a small bed and breakfast hotel for extra guests. Our youngest daughter actually liked Engelberg so much that she got married there last Christmas.
