It has been described as a self contained chalet in an apartment building. There are wooden beams in abundance and a cozy log fire in the living room to keep you warm on those cold winter nights. The beautiful ceramic and mosaic floor is heated under-floor and warm to the touch. The Penthouse has the most spectacular uninterrupted views over the Sion valley and a large part of the Swiss Alps. The apartment has two Master Suites and 2 full sized bedrooms. Each room has its own private balcony and plenty of closet space. Bed sheets and towels are provided for your stay.

• Visitors Tax: In addition there is a 2 SFR charge per person per day for adults and a 1 SFR charge for each child (6-16 yrs) per night. Children under 6 are free. This Tax is paid by us to the local Tourist Office.

The Ski Area

Nendaz is in the heart of the Valais Alps in Switzerland. Its territory extends from the plain of the river Rhone right up to snowy peaks at 3’300m (10'000 ft). The resort, on a plateau at 1’350 m (4’400 ft), offers a panoramic view of the Bernese and Vaud Alps. Nendaz occupies a privileged position at the heart of the 4 Valleys ski area with its 400 km of ski runs and 100 lifts, all available with a single ski pass, and numerous facilities specially for snowboarders. For beginners Nendaz offers a couple of gentle areas well out of harms way, and for experts the place is a veritable paradise. For those in between, get a lift map and choose carefully. There is plenty of good middle ground, but this is a big area. The ski pass system is full of variety, allowing skiers to tailor make a pass to best suit their ability. 103 km of black (difficult) ski runs and high touring; 168 km of red (medium) runs; 129 km of blue (easy) runs.

Summer Holidays

In the Summer, Nendaz offers more than 250 km of rambles from the plain of the Rhone up to the glaciers, many level strolls following the ancient 'bisses' (irrigation channels) across the mountainside, and numerous activities : mountain biking, swimming, tennis, paragliding, beach volleyball, fishing, archery, squash,.. you name it, we do it. The nearest Golf course is a 20 minute drive and there are several others within easy driving distance. The penthouse is located just on the outskirts of the town centre. There is a large Migros Supermarket near the penthouse and the village is full of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, a cinema, a bowling alley and a discoteque. There is a very good Fondue restaurant in Planchouet Les Bisses serving the traditional Favorites Cheese and Bourginion as well as some local variants and some really wacky ones like Tomato and chocolate.

Golf Information:

The property is located at the centre of a golfing paradise! The nearest Golf course at Sion is a 20 minute drive and the Championship Course of Crans sur Sierre which is home to the European Masters Tournament only about 40 minutes drive. There is the Villars mountain course about 55 minutes and Verbier a similar distance. All are beautiful with stunning mountain views and don't forget in the mountains your ball flies 10% further!
