Golf Information

Phuket is a great destination for a golf holiday, with international standard golf courses set amidst idyllic surroundings. The island is attracting an increasing number of golfers due to its year-round mild climate, beautiful beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Green fees are generally higher than the rest of Thailand, but the pleasure of playing these courses is usually well worth the expense. Bear in mind too, that fees are still very low in comparison to other countries. There is no need to show handicap cards at any of Phuket’s golf courses. Dress code is not strict but most clubs expect visitors to wear golf shirts with collars, short or long trousers, socks and golf shoes. Generally spike-less shoes or soft spikes are required. Bird Watching

Sirinat and Khao Pra Taew National Parks off excellent Bird Watching opportunities and are host to both resident and migrant birds. The terrain varies from rain forest to mangrove to marsh land. Resident birds include Mangrove Pitta, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Black Shouldered Kite,Emerald Dove, Malaysian Plover to name a few. From December through to March a wide variety of shore birds and migrant birds visit Phuket.

There is an abundance of things to do on Phuket. Elephant trekking in the rain forest, excellent snorkelling and diving, National Parks, Temples and Beaches. Visit the local markets ans sample the delicious food on sale. After a hectic day of sightseeing have a traditional thai massage. Excursions can be arranged through reception. There are also taxis available everywhere.If you prefer to take things at your own pace car hire can be arranged. Driving is on the left and petrol is noticeably cheaper. There are also excellent medical and dental services available on the Island offering cosmetic and medical procedures with no waiting lists.
