Hua Hin is located approx.189km to the south of Bangkok. In the 1920's the royal family built a palace at Hua Hin on the west shore of the Gulf of Siam and Hua Hin consequently became a popular seaside resort. Because of its royal patronage, it has attracted many tourists in recent years who are keen to avoid the seedy reputation of Pattaya.
There are excellent Thai and European restaurants here as well as great variety of shops, and the nightlife is refreshingly low key. For those wanting to cook at home there is an excellent fresh market with seafood, fruit, and vegetables as well as a well stocked supermarkets.
A car is desirable, and local rentals are available(details available on request). Chauffeured transfer between Bangkok Int'l Airport and Hua Hin costs approx. GBP29 plus the cost of petrol(approx.GBP22).
The property includes maid service to clean the house daily. For washing and ironing there is a small additional charge.
Please note: Hua Hin has not been affected by the Asian Tsunami and all facilities at the house and in Hua Hin town are operating normally.
