Icmeler has a very good transport system which passes the apartment and will take you to Marmaris for as little as 1.5 euro = 60p (2005 prices) or down to the beautiful boardwalk where you can stroll along and hear the water lapping the beach and the traditional Turkish music from the wide range of restaurants. No more running down early in the morning to put your towel on the sunbed. Your sunbed will be waiting, whenever you please.

Icmeler is a beautiful village which is an ideal family resort which is situated just 3 miles from Marmaris situated on the Aegean Coastline of South West Turkey. Icmeler is surrounded by mountains which limits the size of the village, but there is easy access to the bigger town/ city of Marmaris by bus, taxis or a water taxi which could take you to the unique coastal village of Turanc.
Turkey has its own special culture and you will be pleasantly surprised how friendly and helpful the locals will be. There are some things that are highly recommended when you visit Turkey and a visit to a Turkish bath is one of them. If you are interested in history and in particular, biblical history, a visit to Ephesus is a must. It is breathtaking and amazing to walk on the paths that Paul the disciple walked and enter the amphitheatre which is still used for events.
There are lots of Water Sports which include Banana Boats, Donut Rides, Scuba Diving, Paddle Boats and Paragliding.
Ski:
No skiing unless you like water skiing. This you can have plenty of - well we are on the Aegean coast after all.
Golf:
No golf available locally yet, however as I am a golf fanatic, one of the reasons for investing in this area is that golf is on the menu in the very near future. In the meantime there is lots to do which can be a very pleasant alternative to the weekend white ball fix.
