The apartment is on the first floor, with a large 13ft balcony having uninterrupted views across the bay and out to sea, with views over Snake & Mouse Islands. It comes with a fully equipped bathroom, kitchen, living room, balcony and full air-conditioning. There are five shared swimming pool set in a garden of olive and palm trees. This apartment occupies what is arguably the very best position in Kalkan, having a quiet location, yet within 5 minutes walk of the main streets, shops and restaurants, harbour and Ibo Beach Club. We provide both balcony and swimming pool sun loungers.

  • The bathroom, like the rest of the apartment, is fully equipped and has a bidet Turkish style installed in the toilet. Full bath and power shower. (please like all of Turkey and Greece DO NOT put anything down the loo including used toilet paper for which a seperate bin is provided.)

  • We have much pleasure for the 2009 season (NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2010) commencing in March till November (off season bookings available) to offer this super one bedroom apartment, which is new. The apartment sleeps up to 4 people. (1 Double bedroom and 1 double sofa bed.) Ideal for a couple. (beds especially made in Istambul and are very comfy - lots of room) The apartment is fully eqipped with everthing you need for a holiday or even entertaining @ home. It has a MASSIVE fridge so you only need shop on arrival and it will hold everything for the rest of you holiday. The only item we do not provide is a hair dryer so you can bring your own or buy a cheap one locally. Normally there is a hair dryer left by a previous guest.

Notes: You have 5 swimming pools to choose from, all being different shapes, all set in beautiful gardens with views across the bay. There is also a beach and 2 beach clubs! All walking distance. You have 2 other super beaches a short trip away including the famous 18 Kms of Patara Beach which is Blue flagged and the breeding ground for sea turtles! A must to visit!

Historic Sites Nearby: It is within easy reach of Myra, Pinara, Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon, Patara, the Saklikent Gorge, and Kekova. You travel to Kalkan via either Dalaman or Antalya airports, and then by private air-conditioned transfer (90 mins). When you are in Kalkan you can spend the day on the pebble beach, sit by the pool, or visit the beach club. If however you are feeling energetic you can arrange a jeep safari, a boat trip on one of Turkey's famous Gulets, go diving or fishing, perhaps trekking, sailing or paragliding. Jeep safari's are a must!

Other Things To Do: You could of course spend the day at one of the 3 Turkish baths, or visit one of the many Turkish Barbers, or just go shopping in one of the Old Towns' many shops. Sit and have a drink in the harbour and watch the boats come in! Spend the evening eating and drinking in one of the many super restaurants or cafes. There are variety of bars, some having blues / jazz or belly dancing. You could of course arrange a moonlight boat trip with dinner on board.

Dalaman Airport - Warning!: The new terminal at Dalaman Airport is very expensive ref: food soft drinks beer etc. We woiuld suggest that you take these type of items with you for your return journey. We also advise that you do NOT change money on the way in to Dalaman Airport as the rates are NOT good, we suggest you change money in Kalkan. The Post office next to Tomato restaurant on the main street usually has good rates. Most people in Kalkan and even on way (if you stop for a beer etc) will take Sterling. There are 5 or six banks in Kalkan now all with ABM's. / hole in the wall - bankomats!

We had a wonderful week in this apartment in May - a real home from home with all the mod cons that you could possibly need on a holiday abroad. It was our first time in Turkey, and we loved both the apartment and Kalkan. The weather was hot and sunny for the full week, and we had a fantastic time. The apartment’s many pools and surrounding area were beautifully kept and we often had a pool to ourselves. The balcony was a delight – the nicest setting for breakfast we have had on any holiday!

The apartment is ideally located and is only a short stroll into the centre of Kalkan. There are lots of places to eat and drink, and the town itself is nice to walk around with lots of little shops and interesting streets.

All the locals are very friendly and hospitable. We ate out every day whilst we were there at a different restaurant each night, and enjoyed freshly cooked local produce at great prices. We especially liked Olive Garden, but everywhere we ate was welcoming and good value. Free starters and deserts seem to be standard!

The setting of Kalkan itself was stunning; the town surrounded by mountains, leading down to a turquoise sea. We hope to be able to visit again soon!

The best holiday I've ever been on!!!

This apartment comes exactly as described; great location (so close to the town, you feel sorry for the people in the apartments who are miles up the hillside!), really well kitted out, fabulous choice of pools, shops just around the corner, friendly people both on and off the complex, great food and exactly a 90mins transfer time! The town is beautiful and great viewed from a boat tour of the bay (this really emphasises how close you are to the town compared to everyone else!). The locals are extremely friendly and the better you treat them, the more you get in return! We didn't order a starter the whole time we were there (and we ate out for 7 nights straight!) as you get bread, olives and tapenade of some description in all places, but we also got free desserts, aperitifs and tea/coffee everywhere! Drink and food is cheap and great quality – our favourite restaurants were The Olive Garden (the friendliest service and great local Turkish dishes, try the chickpea stew!) and Aubergine (great fillet steak, prawns and sea bass!), with Trio a close 3rd! We made great friends with Durmus at Yali Bar, he has owned the bar for over 20 years and as it shows live sport (and there is free popcorn!) it is very successful! Durmus and his family took us up to a trout farm in the hills on our last day and we had lunch with them there and then went to visit his parents in Bezigren, the old village and had Turkish tea and nibbles before a very picturesque drive back down to Kalkan. This kind of generosity really made our holiday extra special! The fresh produce available at the shops and the market on a Thursday is outstanding, if you wanted to self cater and everything you could possibly need is in the apartment!
This is not a place for your typical “lads/girly holidays” as it is more catered to good food and drink than a wild nightlife, but this is exactly what we wanted (we’re 25 and 26 respectively). If you have any difficulty walking this is not the place for you as the town is on quite a steep hill and the path is quite slippy! Forget taking heels, you won’t use them!! If you don’t like dogs/cats, you might also be best staying away as they are numerous but exceptionally friendly!
We had the best holiday ever and we have both travelled far and wide and I have already recommended it to my friends and family who I know would appreciate the lifestyle! If we won the lottery, we would buy an apartment (or 2!) without a second thought! Thank you Andrew!

This lovely apartment combines 3 advantages of a great location, views over the harbour, plus a clean and comfortable base for our holiday in Kalkan.
We enjoyed an easy stroll to the Old Town, sitting on the balcony overlooking the harbour, or swimming in one of the 5 pools. The organisation was simply seamless, from the initial contact with Andrew, to the local team who were a delight to get to know.

I hope you are well. The holiday was amazing - Kalkan magical, restaurants and people amazing. The apartment was perfect - lovely view, very handy location to the centre of the town and the apartment and grounds immaculately maintained. Many thanks also for the provisions - they came in handy especially after the flight. Rested up mainly around the pools which were so quiet after the bustle of London it was a god send. weather also warmer than expected and went to the local beach and some of the surrounding towns which were great. We had one bad experience in a place called Oz>>> (forgotten name but in visitor book.)Aubergine, Olive Garden, ISO all brilliant - liked Tomato also. lunches were smaller scale but all amazing. bars very friendly too.

many thanks Andrew for a great holiday - all went like clockwork which is unusual at the last minute. I have made many good friends here and will definitely come back!! what an amazing place!!

Visited October 08. The owner was very helpful and obliging and organised a welcome pack (wine,coffee, milk etc) and transport from Dalaman airport for us. This enabled us to settle in quickly which was good as our stay was only for 7 days. It all worked really well. Nice clean and comfortable apartment, very comfy bed, a few minutes walk from the centre of Kalkan. We liked Kalkan very much. Lots of great restaurants, the locals are friendly and there is plenty to see in the surrounding area. The weather in early October was also great. Nothing negative to say really.
