A lovely location and host

My family of 5 rented Kriska's house for 2 weeks in September. The setting was peaceful and lovely. A short trip from Istanbul via the ferry, the house is located on acres of flowers, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens. We were told to pick and enjoy anything we liked. The house was fully furnished, neat and clean, and very comfortable. Tayfun, the owner, supplied us with olives, olive oil, and jams from his property. Tayfun was always available to provide assistance and advice on the local area.
The lake has receded some from the shore line but was still lovely to look at. What we really enjoyed was swimming in the local village's hot spring pool. Additional side trips included the thermal pool in Yalova, the silk bazaar in Bursa, and the museum in Iznik.
We would love to go back to Kriska's house again for another relaxing holiday.
