Private Bodrum village house & private pool. View hills and Aegean Sea
This village house is of traditional stone, with 50 cm (20 inch) thick walls and built mid-20th century. It is located near the Bodrum village of Yalikavak and less than 20 minutes to Bodrum city. Standing high and above the other houses in the village allows unobstructed, fabulous views of the mountains, the sea, plus the harbour of Yalikavak. The sunset is fabulous. The location on the North side of the Peninsula affords cool breezes. The house has an extensive veranda/patio where one can relax or have a slow meal while taking in the views. Entering the house, to the left, is the Living Room with 'L' shaped traditional village seating. The kitchenette adjoins. To the right, is the master bedroom. From the master bedroom you enter a small dressing room that leads to the bathroom. Original artwork and antiques throughout. This is a house to use as a base for exploring the area around Bodrum or for simply relaxing.

The property is located high above the village of Gokcobel. The house is a 40 minute drive to the airport and the village of Yalikavak is 3 km away. Major supermarkets (2) are within a few hundred meters of the house. There is a private road to the property with a private entrance to the house. This is a stand-alone property and not part of any apartment type complex. If you have any questions, we have recently established a number for you to call from UK and one from USA. We generally require 50% deposit to book the cottage. We will provide details. The balance to be paid on arrival in most currencies.

Cancellation of the booking will only be accepted if made 90 days from reserved dates. Full refund of deposit guaranteed. If after 90 days we will only return your deposit if we are able to re-book the space. If we are able to do this we will refund your entire deposit, less a $100 administrative fee.

| Notes: | This is a great place simply to get away from it all. It is romantic and very private but a simple walk of a few meters will bring you into the village area where there are tea shops, and a small grocery shop. It is a peaceful area. We have had families who come with mature children who enjoy sleeping on the patio. We can provide a single or double bunk bed for this purpose. The outside patio is covered 70% of its area (all of the seating area). There are over sized cushions throughout to relax with. The patio has an old Ottoman water fountain that is very handy and beautiful to look at. The new tiled pool is a dipping pool. On hot days, it is a pleasure to just immerse oneself. From the pool you can see the best sunsets and wait for the moon to rise. In the warm evenings, bathing suits are optional. |
