Nearest Airport: Bodrum-Milas international airport at 60 Kilometres

Property is located in hills far above the desirable yachting community of Yalikavak with its new world class Marina. The Marina itself hosts several world class restaurants as well as an amphitheater where scheduled musical and other attractions are held. Three large supermarkets are within 2 km of the house. It is 17km to Bodrum city and 60 to the airport. Bodrum city is 20 minutes to Kos Island in Greece or 2 hours to Rhodes Island by ferry. There are 2 of the '7 Wonders of the Ancient World ' within 2 hours of this house and a 3rd is 20 min. away. Pleasurable walking in the surrounding hills. Roman aquaduct ruins 5 minutes walk and an ancient 500BC Carian castle ruin 15 min walk. Walk to the local tea shop in the village, 1 km below, where a local food market is held each Tuesday. Yalikavak has the best fish restaurants in the area as well as scores of other restaurants serving local and International cuisine. List of best restaurants and eating places always available.

  • Confirmation of property is by deposit of 50% of the rental price to our account. Balance of rental to be paid on arrival.
    Rental rate quoted is for 2 persons. Please inquire for rates for additional guests.
  • There is no refund of deposit if cancellation is made less than 90 days before booking date, EXCEPT, that in the event we are able to re-book the property, we will gladly refund the entire deposit less a $100 cancellation fee.
  • Rental Rates are based on 2 guests. Please inquire if you are coming with children or additional adults. The rental fee is based on the number of guests we originally agree on and cannot be increased without the express approval of the property owner.

  • We have had guests who have decided to have their friends or children sleep outside on the long 'L' shaped 80cm wide, comfortable lounge cushions on the patio. In this case, we arrange a light mosquito net above each resting place that is simply tied back during the day. Note that rain is a less than 1% chance of happening in the season May through October.

Notes: The house, front patio, has a fireplace for use with spring or fall dining. There is a traditional brick, wood fired oven on the terrace. The pool area has 2 chaise lounge and a 150 year old Indian Lounge bed. The entire pool area looks out at the Aegean and the Greek Islands beyond. The hills behind, provide the perfect place to do morning walks or gather wild herbs in any season. The house itself is surrounded by fig, grape and other fruit trees. The house is situated on the North side of Bodrum Peninsula thus providing the coolest summer breezes on the Peninsula. We have had, as our guests, writers, journalists, bankers, business people, designers, interior decorators, architects, agricultural specialists, actors and actresses and all of them look for a common denominator.....Peace, Beauty and Tranquility. My husband and I fell in love with the farm house. It's very isolated so a car is a must but if you are interested in a quiet get away week with the best view of the Aegean in Turkey this is the place for you. Frank was helpful with his vast knowledge of the area and his interest in slow food. The restaurants in the area are fabulous but we were happy shopping at the local grocery store and eating on the fabulous patio while watching the sun set and waiting to hear the call to prayer. The pool was spotless and refreshing. I would only recommend that Frank replace the crockery and the pots and pans - they have seen better days. I expected more in that area for the price we paid. Both my husband and I would highly recommend staying at this lovely little farm house. Perfect for romantic get aways and for those interested in seeing a beautiful area of Turkey. Comes with friendly resident dog.
Owner's Response: I have to thank our guests for writing this review. They came at the beginning of the season and immediately after their visit we replaced everything that needed replacing, crockery and pots and pans. Some of the crockery is old stoneware and is generally, in keeping with the old feeling of the house but we have added additional new crockery. A very helpful review.
