This house is located on a scenic mountainside that overlooks the attractive coastal resort of GOCEK. It is 20 mins walk/5mins taxi to the centre. Nearest shop is 10mins. The house is next to a beautiful swimming pool with a toddlers section and snacks are available (seasonally) at the bar. Walk in the surrounding hills and see wild tortoises and red squirrels, or laze in the garden on one of the hammocks. Gocek has a great selection of restaurants and shops to suit all tastes and budgets, it also has a variety of Gulets (large tourist boats) that will take you away to see some of the many superb bays. Many people see turtles and dolphins while on the water and one of the highlights of the trip is eat tempting turkish pancakes. There is also a marina with a beach where water-skiing or para-sailing is available. The area is surrounded with historic roman sites such as Hierapolis or Ephesus. Rocktombs abound and carpets are made nearby. Fabulous walking in Sakikent Gorge.

Gocek is a small Turkish town that is just responding to the increasing tourist industry. The closest airport is Dalaman - 20 miles west,20 minutes by taxi due to the newly made tunnel. Fethye is a larger town and is 10 miles east, good for shopping and eating, beyond that is Ulu Deniz which is famous for it's parascending , hang gliding and beaches where turtles lay their eggs. The system of Dolmus's (small buses) allows people to move around the area very cheaply. The house being up in the hills at the back of Gocek remains cool even in the summer and has a relaxing pine smelling breeze for most of the time.Many tours are arranged in the village to visit all the places of interest in the area.Car hire is available

What an Excellent Holiday!!!

We stayed at Rosmarin with our family over the October holidays last year. It was a fantastic time- the house was so roomy and it had lots of space for our two boys. Although it was a shared pool, the facility of the smaller pool for our boys (aged 6 at the time) was great- lots of toys to play with and sun all day long. There was a great games room near the pool that had a table tennis table and board games for the 1 day it rained. The village down below is walkable, but it is uphill on the way back, so a taxi was good for the way back. There are lots of shops to buy gifts from and a good supermarket too. Rosamarin itself is a quiet community, safe and quiet. The house had a well stocked kitchen and plenty of linen and towels. Great place for a family holiday and only 30 mins from Dalaman airport. I would definately recommend it and hope to revisit soon!
