In a convenient and commanding position, Villa Kahili was completed to an exacting standard. This spacious villa is set against the backdrop of the magnificent Taurus mountains and has superb unobstructed views of the bay and it's islands. With substantial room sizes, beautifully furnished, the villa has a light and airy feel. Accommodating six people in style. It has an emperor-sized master bedroom with en-suite whirlpool bathroom, a twin-bedded room with en-suite shower room and on the ground floor a large double-bedded room and shower room. All bedrooms have a balcony or terrace and have uninterrupted sea views. A fully equipped open plan kitchen adjoins a spacious lounge which leads out onto the terrace. The infinity pool is set in landscaped gardens complete with a shaded pergola. This is a beautiful villa for both families and couples in a quiet location yet only minutes from Kalkan's restaurants and shops.

The historic little port of Kalkan is one of the most attractive locations along Turkey's renowned Turquoise Coast. The Taurus Mountains surrounding the area provide a dramatic backdrop of considerable geographical interest and beauty. Kalkan is a small yet unique harbour town with unrivalled charm and character. Walking through the maze of cobbled streets lined with historic Greek and Turkish buildings covered in bougainvillea, soon reveals why Kalkan and its freindly people attract the discerning. Renowned for its moderately priced high quality restaurants, dine in the roof top restaurants, listen to live classical/jazz music, relax and enjoy the views. Wander past charming boutiques or through the local market - there is plenty to absorb. Kalkan has an attractive pebble beach, or visitors may choose to visit Patara beach (20kms of sand) 30mins away. Kaputas cove, a secluded beach at the foot of a ravine is only 5 mins away. Notes: On the terrace there are six wooden sunbeds and three large umbrellas, outside dining is under a covered pergola set in a garden with banana and jacaranda trees. On the ground floor the spacious lounge has patio doors which lead directly to the pool and terrace. The adjoining kitchen has marble worktops and breakfast bar with dishwasher, extra large fridge/freezer and full sized oven and hob. In all the bedrooms the furniture is hand-made lime-washed wood. Each bedroom has a large wardrobe, dressing table with mirror, hair-dryer and individually designed wrought-iron bed heads. Second floor a small utility with washing machine, iron and ironing board. A large roof terrace with dining table and chairs. Marble and tiled floors throughout and mosquito nets on the windows. Safe. The decor is elegant and furnished to a high standard. It is in a prime location which gives it wonderful views from all rooms and yet it is in easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants.

Transfer and Car Hire: Flights to Dalaman are from most UK airports. The journey to villa Kahili from the airport is a pleasant scenic drive taking about 1hr 30mins. We can assist in organising transfers from the airport to the villa or car hire as needed. We use Xpress Tours, a Kalkan based company. For transfers a representative will meet you at the airport and drive you directly to the villa in a private air conditioned taxi or mini bus - dependant on the size of your party. Transfer costs range from £100 -£150. Car hire £25 - £48/day.

Beautiful villa in stunning location

We stayed at Villa Kahili in July 2009 and had a fantastic holiday. The villa is beautifully furnished with amazing views, very well equipped and within easy walking distance into the centre of Kalkan. The walk back is much harder, being uphill but it kept us fit and worked off all those wonderful meals that we had in Kalkan's many restaurants!

We hired a car for the middle 9 days of our stay and managed well without one for the other days as the taxis are very cheap and there is lots to do in Kalkan. We would recommend both Kaputas and Patara beaches - both beautiful but very different. We also enjoyed Salklikent Gorge, the ruins at Xanthos and Kas (where we bought a carpet). We also took a moonlight boat trip from Kalkan harbour and enjoyed seeing life in the country villages inland, only a short drive from Kalkan.

The villa was also very well looked after during our stay, with the pool area being cleaned twice a day and the villa itself, twice a week. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

All in all, we were very pleasantly surprised by our stay in Kalkan, this being the first time we had been to Turkey. The locals are all very friendly, with service second to none. The food is also excellent as are the many lovely shops. It is a resort that is suitable for couples and families.

The villa owners also handled our booking very efficiently and everything was arranged perfectly for us. We have no hesitation in recommending Villa Kahili as a great location for a holiday in Kalkan.

We went to this villa in June 2009 with another couple. Villa Kahili is absolutely lovely, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The pool is great although about 6 feet deep throughout so not sure it is suitable for children but was ideal for us 4 adults. The villa is situated on the hill overlooking the harbour and takes about 10 mins to walk down to all the lovely restaurants and shops and if you are feeling fit takes about 20 mins to walk back but if you don't fancy the walk a taxi will cost about £3.00.
The villa was lovely and clean - the outside area was cleaned daily and the villa weekly.

Would definitely recommend this villa and would love to return again one day.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY - MAY 2009

From the first time I made contact with Sheila, I was extremely confident in making my booking. It was dealt with in a most professional manner which would put a lot of travel agents to shame.

The villa is absolutely stunning - extremely clean and well maintained - the staff employed kept it to a very high standard throughout our stay. The photos do not do it justice.

Kalkan is a picture perfect resort - the villa is up a hill so has the most stunning views. The walk back at night is hard work but after a few times it does become a little easier - taxis are easy to get but it was just so peaceful and the views so lovely that we did walk back every night but two.

The best restaurants we found during our stay were Aubergine and Sofra - however, there are so many to choose from you are spoilt for choice.


Without doubt I would fully recommend not only Kalkan as a resort but most certainly Villa Kahili.

I will most definitely be in contact again to book.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this villa. The description is very accurate, the property was very clean and well maintained. Any queries were dealt with very efficiently by the management company and the owner. I would recommend this property to anyone, bearing in mind it is on a hillside. The Saklikent Gorge is well worth a visit.
