Our first visit to Turkey and we were not disappointed. A beautiful country with lovely people only made better by our superb accommodation.
This fabulous and roomy villa is very much a home from home with every available convenience. The very large master bedroom with its own bathroom both of which have magnificent views of the bay of Kalkan was a joy to wake up in. Sitting around the pool surrounded by the lovely gardens was relaxation personified. The weather in early June was perfect for us – hot enough to enjoy dipping in and out of the pool but not so hot to make it uncomfortable.
Kalkan itself, a mere 10-15 minutes stroll away, has an abundance of restaurants to choose from – I think you could go to a different one every evening for a year. Each of the ones we chose was excellent with the staff taking the utmost care of my elderly mother. The trip in the “taxi” up to the hilltop restaurant was an experience and certainly provided an interesting tale to tell back home.
My teenage daughter is hankering to return next year for two weeks. I can understand how she feels. We will definitely be returning!
