Uzumlu, named after the grape vine, is a typical Turkish village with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The area is picturesque, quiet and very traditional with plenty of historical sites to visit. The villa
is secluded but not isolated and stands at 500 metres above sea level. In summertime when the weather is hot it benefits from a gentle breeze. The village is small and the locals are extremely friendly. You can find a few small shops, a post office, a wine bar and a few restaurants. The local bus links the village to nearby Fethiye with its Marina. Here the local restaurants are able to cook fish caught locally as well as providing a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy the fantastic food. Hisoronu and Ovicik are within reach by bus or car and provide more lively nightlife. Olu Deniz with its famous beach is within easy reach and a boat ride to Butterfly Valley gives the opportunity to explore the Turqoise Coast. The Blue lagoon and Paradise Beach are also worth a visit.
