Calis:
Calis is a charming and laid back holiday resort, with a 2km beach. The seafront has an attractively paved promenade lined with plenty of friendly bars and restaurants. Calis is famous for its dramatic and beautiful red sunsets. Calis has something for everyone and has convenient and extremely frequent transport links to Fethiye by bus and water taxi.
Work is currently underway to pave the entire length of the seafront walkway, of about 4km, from Calis to Fethiye with bars and restaurants dotted every 500 metres or so.
Fethiye:
Fethiye is a very busy harbour town with a thriving population. The town imaginatively straddles the old and the new. The attractions range from the modern marina with its impressive yachts to the hustle and bustle of it’s authentic Turkish bazaar were you can haggle for anything. Fethiye has a magical atmosphere it is a town not to be missed.
Fethiye:
The surrounding area is a mixture of mountains, fertile valleys, olive groves and many hidden beaches and rocky coves. The most famous beach is at Oludeniz with bright golden sands ending in a teardrop beach protecting an azure lagoon. The area is surrounded by fascinating historical sights dating back to the ancient kingdom of Lycia. For active holiday seekers, there are numerous sporting activities available including white water rafting, horse riding, paragliding from Mount Baba, kite surfing, quad biking, mountain biking, diving, sailing etc. There are jeep Safaris and a huge natural gorge at Saklikent for the boat lovers there are the numerous boat trips to the local islands and beaches.
Ski:
At the time of writing in August 2006, a new Ski Resort at Seki, about a 30 minute drive away, is being developed and may be ready at the end of this season but certainly in 2007.
Golf:
A new Golf Course is being developed approximately 25 minutes away and will be open in Summer 2007.
Other Activities:
Scuba diving, quad biking, as well as a childrens Aqua City close by and skiing in winter in close by Seki.
