We have been to Kalkan many times, and have stayed in the Villa next door to Villa Florence on a previous visit, so we knew exactly where the villa is and what to expect. I cannot recommend this villa enough, the location is ideal situated at the top of the road from the town, a pleasant walk down in the evening, stopping for a drink or two at some of the many bars, before choosing from the multitude of fantastic restaurants in Kalkan. I would not recommend walking back, as the hill is a bit much in the heat, but a taxi is easily available and very inexpensive. During the day the villa is perfect, a lovely large pool in a well maintained garden, plenty of poolside furniture and umbrellas. The nearest supermarkets are 5 min gentle stroll away, and stock everything you are likely to need. The centre of Kalkan a further 5 min or so, where you can find narrow shop and restaurant lined streets winding down to the harbour, with yet more shops and restaurants.
Would I go to Franks villa again, you bet I would, I tried to book again for next year, but it was already booked for the weeks we are on holiday, so we have booked one two doors away this time. Kalkan is for me and my family the perfect summer holiday, we have stayed in several local villas, and this is the nicest location with the best villas in town, we will return again and again.
Frank is a nice chap to deal with, and did everything he could to make our stay a good one, thank you Frank for sharing your home with us, hope to visit again sometime soon.
