Dunns Meadow is a large Tudor style modern house set amongst fields with extensive uninterrupted views over the Burry Estuary & beyond to Carmarthenshire. Centrally located on the Gower Peninsular, the accommodation available is a v. spacious, self-contained private apartment on the ground floor. Freshly decorated in terracotta shades, comprising a spacious lounge, 2 bedrooms, bathroom + separate WC & fully fitted kitchen. At the rear & directly accessible from the Garden Apartment is a private patio with decking & reclining patio furniture, ideal for afternoon sun downers, 3 steps lead down to a large lawn & direct access to the meadow, a stream runs alongside flowing ultimately to the estuary itself. No livestock any longer at DM but lambs can be seen frolicking nearby & neighbouring miniature Shetland ponies visit/stay in our field to the rear. Our resident pets; 8 yr old 'THOMAS', a Lab/retriever & 2 yr old 'SMUDGE' a speckled black cat, both are very friendly & well behaved

Located in Gower, South Wales, 12 miles from Swansea on the B4295 road in open country 1 mile before Llanrhidian. Dunns Meadow is a large Tudor style, modern country house in which the Garden Apartment is available for holiday rental, fronted by a large stone yard able to park at least 8 cars. The rear of the property looks onto the meadow with uninterrupted views across the Burry Estuary to Whiteford Burrows and beyond to Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Burry Estuary is a tidal marshland conserved by the National Trust for its abundance of wild fowl, plants and sea life.

  • The main bathroom between the bedrooms, features large Dolphin print tiles around a corner bath with power shower & curtain held within. Alongside is the handwash basin and mirrored bathroom cabinet. The wc is featured on the opposite side. A rubber mat is provided for use in the bath and hand towels are also included. The separate wc is situated to the left of the lounge and features wc & handwash basin with hand towel.

  • Woebly View bedroom includes views over open counrtyside leading to the Estuary and of course Woebly Castle to the left. An occasional chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers along with bedside drawers & lamps complete the furniture available in this room. Kyver Top bedroom includes views out to the front of the property and ultimately to Kyver Top, a local high point. A chest of drawers along with bedside drawers & lamps where space allows. All our guests have remarked how comfortable they have found the accommodation including especially the sleeping arrangements aided by the quietness of nighttime in the Gower countryside. Comments like 'Superb Views' , 'Excellent Accommodation' & 'Home from Home - we didn't want to leave!' can all be found in our Visitors Book.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend. The apartment was very clean and spacious. We found it well equiped and everything seemed to have been thought of. The owners were friendly and welcoming. We were more than delighted
The apartment is set in the middle of a rural area, so a car is essential. We found it ideal as a base for exploring this beautiful part of Wales. There are a few pubs nearby that serve food and a large supermarket about ten miles away where you can stock up.
