Watermill cottage is situated on the edge of Bryngwran village on the Isle of Anglesey, it's a fantastic location for outdoor and active vacations during all seasons, or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The cottage has recently been sympathetically converted from an old stone barn, to a spacious cottage offering superb accommodation of an exceptionally high standard. It's been tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished and has plenty of character, such as the wooden and slate flooring, exposed stone walls and large oak beams, a particular feature in the living area. The cottage benefits from its own secluded terraced garden with a patio and barbecue area at the back of the house, whilst at the front there is room for three cars to park amply in their own private area.

Anglesey has over 650 miles of footpaths which enable you to discover and explore the 120 miles of coastline, including sandy beaches and rocky headland. Much of this coastline is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or owned by the National Trust, it's hardly surprising then that 25 per cent of the award-winning beaches in Wales are on Anglesey. You'll find a whole host of sea related activities to enjoy, there's sailing, sea fishing, Kite and windsurfing and canoeing. For those of you who are a little less 'thrill-seeking' the miles of wonderful footpaths will enable you to discover the vast variety of wildlife which thrives on the island, especially the bird population, whilst fantastic views of the distant Snowdonian mountains can be seen at some points. The property makes for an ideal base from which to explore all this and more.

This is a lovely property. There were six of us, including 2 children (11 and 6) and we all loved it. The children particularly liked the galleried bedroom and the horses in the front field. The property has everything you need including a lovely eating area where we spent many happy evenings.

All in all, would definitely go again!

Beautiful cottage set in a lovely location. Ideal place to have a get together/reunion due to the open layout of the cottage. Everything you could think of was provided including finding child locks for the cupboards. As said in a previous review the mezannine area is not suitable for young children but it is easy to block off. Nobody in my party (7 adults and 2 children) had anything other than positive comments to make. It's ideally located and very easy to reach, add to that the horses that great you outside the front door and you have yourself perfect holiday home at a very reasonable price.

Wonderful Holiday

We have just come back from staying at this beautiful Barn. It was very well equiped and had everything we needed. The nearby beaches were lovely and about a 10 minute drive away, The one near the Airforce turnoff was the best. Tesco's is about an 8 minute drive away plus there is lots of other shops near it, New look, Brantano, Argos, Wilkinsons plus about 5 others - all Large stores. Bangor has a great chinese - Eastern Promise - very reasonable and lovely food. We went to Snowdon one day and took the train 3/4 way up and walked down - this was an excellent day, the views were spectacular. There is a go-cart track about a 3 minute drive away which was good fun for the kids and adults. The boys also played golf at two different courses while we were there and they were so reasonable - About £5.00 per adult for a round. All in all we had a wonderful time here and although the weather forcast kept say bad weather, it seemed to keep missing us and we had lovely sunny afternoons. The lady next door was very helpful - my daughter had a fall and cut her head - and she pointed us to a nearby minor accident clinic (near tesco's). And as for honesty - my son left his wallet behind - and they have found it and posted it to us. I do think you need a car to come here - but there are so many places to go you will never be bored. Enjoy!

This is a very good place. The upstairs gallery (pictured) is not one for a child under, say, 6 or 7, and so this needs to be borne in mind. But overall the place is lovely: powerful showers, good size rooms, well-equipped kitchen, and decent outside space.
