The Cable Cottage on the Beach

Originally the telecommunications house for the under-sea cable and retains many nautical features. Spacious accommodation with recently refurbished large kitchen and granite worktop. Modern facilities without compromising the character of the property. Oilfired Rayburn heating/cooking with alternative induction electric hob. Church Bay [Porth Swtan] is the next cove where you will find the 'Swtan'- the oldest fully restored cottage on the island- and further North heritage coastline for mile after mile of uninterrupted walks. Nearby locally renowned 'Lobster Pot' restaurant and Wavecrest coffee shop at the end of the coastal path and public house within one mile. Excellent for all water sports or just quiet reflection.

The Cable is situated south of Church Bay on the West coast of Anglesey overlooking the Irish sea. Holyhead with its` fast ferry service to Ireland is 12 miles away by road and is ideal for a short day trip or overnight stay in Dublin 99 minutes away. There is ample car parking at the property at the end of a private lane and the beach has public access via the coastal footpath.

There are a large selection of videos to choose from to play on the TV in the cupboard in the lounge. There is a portable CD/Tape player. Many of the internal fixtures were reputedly taken from the original Mauretania. Access to the front first floor bedroom is via an original set of ships stairs which are on a steep incline and may present some difficulties in climbing for some people.
