Wreckers cottage

Review Submitted: September 2, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
Our holiday in Wreckers Cottage, Ceamas Bay was lovely. The cottage is well equipped with all your needs and the beach and harbour are literally 5 minutes walk away. The only problem was the approach road to the cottage. It is only one way and extremely narrow. If you have anything other than a small hatchback you are going to struggle. Other than that it is an ideal base for a family holiday. Our 8 year old son would have been quite happy being on the beach for the full seven days but there are plenty of castles and places of interest to see within driving distance, such as Beaumaris, Conwy, Penrhyn and Caenarfon. The island also has its own attractions for children such as Foel Farm Park where they can feed the lambs and calves. The cottage itself is in a very quiet part of Ceamas and the patio which is almost level with the roof is perfect for sitting looking out over the bay. In the evening you are surrounded by the scent of honeysuckle and lilac. We would definitely go back!
