Beach life:
The beach is protected by sandunes which provide endless entertainment for children of all ages. Stretching for over a mile, the seashore attracts an array of bird life patiently searching for a fish supper. Windsurfing, Kite surfing and canoeing are all popular. To the rear of the property is the Leisure Centre that provide tennis courts and a large indoor swimming pool. To the front is a garden suitable for BBQs and sunbathing. A flat promenade area is next to the beach.
Activity:
The Llyn peninsular has a fantastic array of activities to suit all ages. The newly opened Llyn Coastal Path provides wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and Snowdonia provides more strenuous walking on mountain paths. Railway lovers will want to enjoy the world famous Festiniog narrow- gauge steam railway(please ask for link) and visit the international renown Portmerion Village designed by Clough Williams Ellis.(please ask for link) The ancient castles of Caernarfon, Criccieth and Harlech are within easy reach together with suberb historic churches and manor houses with beautiful gardens. Golf:
With 46 golf courses in the surrounding area, the enthusiast is spoilt for choice. The nearest is Pwllheli GC which is within walking distance. Established in 1906, the course was firstly designed by the famous Tom Morris and later James Braid. The eighteen hole links/parkland design provide a good test, but wait till the wind blows! Other popular courses are Nefyn(Peter Allis gives top marks) Portmadog and Conwy, which was selected as a qualifying venue for the 2006 Open Championship.
