llanfor is a convertied chapel by the sea

Llanfor formally an 18thc Methodist Chapel has been converted to retain many of the original features. The Chapel is located in the fishing village of Lower Town at the mouth of the River Gwaun, just below the town of Fish guard. The Village is well known from the films of 'Under Milk Wood' and 'Moby Dick'. It is a haven for sailing and fishing boats. The Chapel is on the Coastal Path within the National Park with many wonderful beaches, ideal for bucket and spade holidays and for surfing. The Chapel consists of three bedrooms each with en-suit bathroom, shower room. It has a large first floor consisting of sitting room, dining area & kitchen, and a small utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher etc. There are two balconies over looking the bay. Within 10 miles of the Chapel there is golf, riding, fine selection of beaches, and many walks where you can enjoy the view and the countryside.

Shopping, Fishguard: can be reached by car, or a 15 minute walk, and has a range of shops including a Spar supermarket, greengrocers, butchers bakers, Market day is THURSDAY and is held in the Town Hall in Fishguard. Coastal Path and National Park

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Predominantly coastal, the Park has some of the most beautiful coastline in the UK, Offshore islands, the largest of which is Skomer which is Internationally known for the sea birds and seal populations, the waters around Skomer are one of only two Marine Nature Reserves in the British Isles. The other islands are Skokholm, Ramsey, Grasholm and Caldey, which are all worth a visit and are also full of bird life. The Coastal path covers high cliffs, to long sandy beaches, harbours, dunes and mud flats. In contrast the Gwaun Valley is a delightful area for walking beside the river, which rises, in the Preseli Hills, from where you get amazing views of the coastline. There are also many wonderful walks in the Preseli Hills. Fishguard is a Welsh speaking area, but you will have no problems being understood. There is a Tourist office situated on the square in Fishguard, where you will be able to find out about the best beaches, walks etc.

Seasons

Come to Pembrokeshire in the Spring, the carpet of wild flowers will amaze you, around Strumble Head, also in the hills around Newport. Spring/Summer: you can spend hours watching birds from Puffins to Peregrins and most sea birds in between. Autumn: Beneath the cliffs there are a number of inaccessible beaches were seals give birth to their pups in the autumn months. The Chapel therefore is an ideal base for bird watching, walking, sailing, canoeing, or simply relaxing and enjoying the scenery and beautiful beaches. Do not forget your camera, Pembrokeshire has the most photogenic coastline, and is also a haven for artists.
