Addaia (Addaya) is a small port town located on the edge of a stunning inlet on the coast of North Menorca. Addaia is a lively centre all year round, with local fishermen and sailors using the Port of Addaia for their daily business, as well as harbouring the large pleasure yachts during the long summer months. The village centres on the Port of Addaia, with little villas and townhouses the only accommodation, without a concrete hotel or large apartment block in sight.

The interior of the Addaia region is excellent for walking, cycling and horse riding. The coastal path that circumnavigates the island is particularly spectacular in North Menorca, and the pine forests that lead towards the highest point of the island, Monte Toro, offer some wonderful routes for walking and riding, especially as the forests offer much needed shelter from the sun as you walk.

The Addaia nightlife is completely void of neon signs, raucous bars and nightclubs spilling holiday makers into the street. There are however two fantastic restaurants within the village which remain open all year round, and provide the village with an excellent place to congregate in the evenings, affording stunning views across the sea.

A holiday rental villa in Addaia is just 15 minutes from the beaches of Arenal d’en Castell and Son Parc. The resort of Son Parc is a fantastic place to visit from Addaia, with a beautiful 18 hole golf course and a glorious beach, filled with water sports centres and tourist facilities. As Addaia doesn’t have its own beach, the beach at Son Parc is a wonderful asset to have nearby.

Spring and Autumn are popular times to visit for escapes into the countryside, whether on foot, horse back or by car, as temperatures are hot without reaching the scorching summer levels. During July and August, temperatures can soar well into the mid 30’s, making a dip in the Port of Addaia irresistible.
