The beaches in the area are relatively new and offer something for everyone although families with small children may prefer the calmer waters of Playa Fanabe. Holidaymakers will find many opportunities to try out different watersports and activities such as diving, jet skis, banana boats and parascending. Several sailing trips around the island can also be enjoyed by visitors and include whale watching tours.
There are several theme parks on the island including Aqualand and Siam Park at Costa Adeje, the latter being the largest waterpark in Europe. There are a few golf courses on Tenerife including a 27-hole one at Golf Costa Adeje. Other activities popular in Tenerife include go karting, buggy racing, quad biking and ten pin bowling.
There are many bars, pubs and restaurants in Costa Adeje, with a variety of cuisine from sushi to spaghetti, fish to fajitas, not to mention excellent Canarian cuisine. Several shops are available to purchase gifts and souvenirs from, as well as places for self catering holidaymakers to purchase food and beverages. The Gran Sur shopping centre also has a seven screen cinema, which occasionally shows English language films.

There are a number of interesting places to visit on the island including several wildlife parks and zoos. A trip to Tenerife wouldn’t be complete without an excursion to Mount Teide, which is arguably the island’s most famous landmark. Tenerife also boasts numerous museums and historic buildings.
There are plenty of scenic views, parks and gardens to be enjoyed on the island including La Caldera del Rey, which is a farm surrounded by volcanic mountains, forests and canyons. All of Tenerife’s famous buildings are recreated at Pueblo Chico, which has miniature replicas of Canary Island landmarks.

The warmest climate can be found on the south and west sides of the island. The warmest months of the year are July and August with an average maximum temperature of 29-30C with 11 hours of sunshine per day. Even in January and February the temperatures can be as high as 21C during the day. The wettest month is December with an average of 51mm of rainfall for the month
Travel to Adeje, Canary Islands
The nearest airport to the resort is Reina Sofia, which is approximately 10 minutes drive away. Various airlines take passengers to and from major cities on the Spanish mainland as well as in other European countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Holland and Russia.
Various bus routes take passengers from outside the Arrivals Hall. Route 340 goes to Puerto de la Cruz, line 341 to Santa Cruz, lines 487 and 470 to Playa de Las Américas and line 464 to Granadilla. Autos Reisen, Avis, Cicar, Europcar Betacar, Hertz and Record are car rental firms represented in the Central Hall, while taxis are available at outside the terminal.
