Make a holiday rental home or villa in Antas, Spain your home away from home
Surrounded with fruit groves, situated within the foothills of the Filabres Mountains, and just 15km from the sea, Antas is a charming town in an envious position, so attracts a decent number of tourists every year despite its relatively small size. The old town is quiet, friendly and well-preserved, with the few modern buildings in the area having been sympathetically rendered to perfectly blend in with the existing 16th and 17th century structures. Consider this charming area of Almeria for your next holiday rental experience.
Things to do in Antas, Spain
Antas lies in the heart of orange and lemon country, with fruit groves stretching for miles in all directions around the town. Unsurprisingly, copious amounts of fruit are available to buy at the local market, but there is also plenty of other high quality local produce on offer – ideal for a self-catering holiday as it keeps the price down and allows you to sample the delicacies of the region.
If you fancy a night out there are a decent selection of cafe-bars and restaurants to be found around town, the majority of which provide hearty and tasty dishes at reasonable prices. Nightlife is friendly, but, as you may expect from such a small town, does not continue long into the night. Nearby Vera is a better option on this front.
Partying until dawn is not the main reason people visit Antas, however, and with a charming old town to explore it would be a shame to waste your daytime nursing a hangover. The narrow streets have retained their age-old Spanish charm, and an enjoyable morning or afternoon can be spent wandering, exploring and sampling the wares from the local businesses.
