Bermuda consists of 138 islands that total just 53 square kilometres, making for great island-hopping. The largest island is known as Main Island, and is home to Hamilton, the capital city of Bermuda. Hamilton is also the main port, and a great place to start any vacation here. The city boasts several parks, shops (for buying those all-important Bermuda shorts!), a famous cathedral and is the country’s main business district.

The historic town of St. Georges is the largest town in the country, and contains many old buildings which also serve as bars, restaurants and shops. Other excellent base locations in Bermuda include the parish of Devonshire and Somerset Island.

Weather in Bermuda

Bermuda has a humid subtropical climate, with temperatures that reach towards 30C in the height of summer, and rarely drop below 16C in the ‘coldest’ months of winter. Rainfall is fairly consistent throughout the year, so any month could be regarded as a good month for a holiday in Bermuda.

Flights to Bermuda

Bermuda has just one airport, L. F. Wade International Airport (BDA), which is located in St. Georges. British Airways offer a direct route from London Gatwick. Though car rental is not an option in Bermuda, visitors can take public transport to get to their chose holiday rental accommodation.
